Power on Schedule

Power on Schedule

God is no respecter of persons. There are no “special” people, there are only people who do what it takes.

You have to do right to get right results. To operate in God’s power does require effort.

The traditional church keeps waiting for God to descend. Well, He already has, on the Day of Pentecost 2000 years ago. It is up to us to work the process for us to release God in might, love and power. God is no respecter of persons; He shows no partiality (Acts 10:34-35). When God does “come,” it is because someone did enough right to release Him.

Once a week in church does not do the necessary mind renewing; a devotional time every morning does not do it; 6-8 times a day every day may start to do it, but that is only the beginning. The good news is that starting with even 5 minutes a day can set you on the path of success.

I can hear it now, “Hold on, this is legalism.” My response is that there are some 1050 commands in the New Testament. That is right; in the original Greek they are in the imperative or command voice. They are not suggestions. Jesus said your results are the fruit of your doing. Do to see, no right doing, means no seeing. (For a listing of these 1050 commands as complied by Dake, please see the Articles page at our main website www.CovenantPeaceMinistries.com)

One way to say this is, “If I enforce it on you, it is legalism; if you decide to disciple yourself then it is spirit.” While biblically in-accurate, it may help you get started. The right fruit is how much love, power and the mind of Christ you operate in as a lifestyle, 24×7. You do the right, diligent and faithful spiritual disciplines before the battle, or you will arrive at the battle unprepared, and often more of a problem than a help. How you arrive is up to you. That you will have battles is guaranteed as Jesus described in Matt 5-7. Jesus called not preparing “foolish.”

Jesus demonstrated this foundation process to His disciples. Jesus did this in a Scripture-driven prayer life for 3-6 hours a day, 1-4 all nights a week, and often rising early in the morning. He had a regular schedule of 6-8 times or events a day, and then other times as provided or needed. And then His normal ministry of preaching and miracles were above and beyond this, but all this activity was a strong foundation.

That means Jesus had developed and continued to maintain godly habits consistent with how God showed humans (the Jews) what it takes to stay calm in God and manifest the glory of God at the point of need or attack. And His disciples, from Peter to Paul, did the same thing. They all kept a regular schedule of daily faith actions throughout the day and night.

This was not much different from what Moses, Joshua or David did. The secret is to make this a glad lifestyle incorporated into every part of every day. Thus for the Jews in the time of Jesus, this was 6-8 scheduled events a day of 15 minutes to an hour or so each, and then various other parts of the day as they could, with even more emphasis on Sabbath days. And there is no reason we cannot do the same today. Thus Jesus was the “perfect” Jew, and so became Peter, Paul and all Gentile believers.

Here are some Scriptures on this:

Ps 119:164 “Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments (good acts among and for men and against the devil). “

Ps 119:62 “At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments (good acts among and for men and against the devil).”

Ps 119:148 “Mine eyes prevent (go before, are set on a schedule by) the night watches, that I might meditate (mutter to ponder, chew like a cow chews its cud, speak, sing, shout) in thy word.” (Ps 63:6; Lam 2:19; Luke 6:12)

Ps 1:2 “But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate (mutter to ponder, chew like a cow chews its cud, speak, sing, shout) day and night.”

Ps 34:1 “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually (on a daily, regularly scheduled basis and as occasion serves) be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.”

Luke 6:12 “And it came to pass in those days, that he (Jesus) went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.”

Luke 18:1 “And he (Jesus) spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always (at all times, continually with frequent regularity) to pray, and not to faint (doubt, stop the faith actions, give up praying continually with frequent regularity); … 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth (of praying with faith actions continually with frequent regularity even though the answers are long in coming)?”

1 Thess 3:10 “Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? 11 Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. 12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in agape/love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: 13 to the end he may establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”

Here Paul (the great works versus faith or grace expounder) tells you his regular prayer schedule, i.e., his “works.” Then Paul commands this in specifics: 1 Thess 5:16 “Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

All three of these (rejoice, pray, giving thanks) puts you to work 24 hours a day! Or at least during your “awake hours.” Doing this is a good description of “being revived.” Add in setting others free of the lordship of the devil whenever you come upon them, and you are now walking as a New Testament, “activated” Christian.

And again: Phil 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand [in power]. 6 Be careful (anxious, fearful, concerned, troubled, terrorized, worried, unsure) for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your aiteo/requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with [and operate in and through] you.”

Notice that the peace of God comes AFTER the right doing, and if your peace is troubled in any way, we are told how to respond until that peace returns.

Thanksgiving definition: Here you pray and then do the behaviors of thanksgiving until you are thankful that you have it. How do you know you have it? You have it when you cannot stop the joyful laughing, dancing, shouting, praising and gladness of true thanksgiving. When you cannot stop it, then you have arrived. Until then you are doing the process of bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and of “making your aiteo/requests known to God.” You are the one making it known to God with faithful actions of thanksgiving until you are in the emotion of thanksgiving.

This is the great “How to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,” passage. What is left out of “always” in “rejoice in the Lord always?” What is left out of “nothing” in “be careful for nothing?” What is left out of “everything” in “but in everything?”

Christianity is: the process of replacing bad habits with good habits and developing more good habits, all of which you work to continue doing continually with frequent regularity.

Again, the Bible word continually (as does: always, diligently, and without ceasing) means regular and frequent scheduled daily times in multiple-events per day, day after every day, along with when opportunities present themselves, i.e., ad hoc.

Gen 5:24 “And Enoch walked [continually in habitual fellowship] with God; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him]. [Heb 11:5.] AMP

Luke 22:39 “And he (Jesus) came out, and went, as he was wont (as was His regular habit, where He went continually), to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.”

Of course Jesus did what God had commanded His namesake to do (Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua or Yeshua) Josh 1:5 “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law [for us this includes the entire Bible] shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate (chew, ponder, think on, sing, shout, mutter, recite and proclaim so your mind is never empty of these truths) therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

Note: Bible meditation and being still is to fill your mind with the goodness and power of the Lord in the Scriptures. False-god methods often focus on emptying your mind so other thoughts can come. Any method short on direct Scripture and long on other words or sounds is suspect. That includes much of past and present popular, so-called “Christian” music, and some forms called “soaking.” Sing the same scripture passage for hours a day is a right form of  biblical meditation.

If Jesus spent 3-6 hours a day, 1-4 all nights a week, and often arose early in the morning for Scripture prayer, and Peter, James, Paul and other disciples did the same, and all taught their disciples to do the same, along with 1-6 hours a day in Holy Spirit tongues, why not you? So if you wonder where your answers from God are, now you know.

If you did not spend the time and “Jesus-effort” before the battle, do not be surprised if you have to spend it in the battle to get victory. Otherwise learn to accept defeat, and blame it on something else rather than your lack of diligence. If you are a child of God, born-again in Jesus, you have all the power of God there is. The issue is you effectively renewing your mind to release God.

The issue is not God withholding anything. God spent the wonder of the Universe, Jesus, for our healing and blessing.  Then God puts Himself in us with Holy Spirit when we get born-again. He has spoken every blessing it is possible to say over us in heaven (Eph 1:3) and God has entered His “rest” (Heb 4:4).

The issue is us doing the right things to release Him, as God is no respecter of persons, nor can He show partiality. Each of us has 24 hours a day; the issue is what you do with them every day. In this case the Universe is digital; every moment you are serving, breathing in and exhaling God or the devil. You chose which by the thoughts, words, and actions you allow and do.

A Bible not devoured is like bags of seed stored away. The potential of God into the earth is there, but rarely a harvest is made. Jesus is the Seed. The only soil that matters is your heart. The truly difficult thing is the consequences of not managing your thought life. Keep Working the Word so God can Work!

Here are two major commands: 2 Cor 10:4 “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

Now which part of “every” in “every thought” do you want to debate? If it does not direct you to doing like Jesus, then that is a thought you need to get rid of and focus on one that Jesus did and would think, and then do it.

Jesus said it this way: Matt 12:36 “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

That word “idle” in “every idle word,” means useless, will be destroyed on the Day of Judgment, and in context, does not produce the Kingdom of God in this life. Now you can debate all this all you want, but now you know what your words can cost you.

Being led of Holy Spirit is you doing what written Bible commands you are aware of and then you following His instruction on how and when to do them as a son of God, a joint-heir with Jesus, and not something less. When you get a “special” leading, this is in addition to your normal lifestyle of going about and doing good like Jesus did.

Those 1050 commands are descriptions of the divine nature you have in the new birth. They are what God wants you to do all the time; everything else is up for wisdom and love. So start with the 1050 first and then seek the Lord for wisdom on doing them, as you do them. The wisdom will come as you do these faith actions.

I have an exercise program I follow every day of every week. Some days I do them first thing in the morning; other days can be any time before I go to sleep, depending on the specifics of the day. Rarely do I miss doing them. They went from a project and labor, to my lifestyle. You do the same thing with the Jesus lifestyle. This is the standard process of intentional habit development.

Typical prayer and fellowship times with God for scheduling include: upon waking; while getting dressed; while dressing children; at breakfast; right after breakfast; morning devotionals; going to work; at 9 AM (or coffee break); 12 noon, lunch; 3 PM (or coffee break); coming home from work; while preparing supper; eating dinner or supper; right after dinner; 6 PM; while watching children in sports, music, etc.; 9 PM; while putting children to bed; after putting children to bed; while undressing; bedtime; rising at 12 midnight for an hour or two of Bible study and praise (like Paul and Silas did in Philippe – Acts 16:25; Ps 119:62); and then rising on the night watches (Ps 119:62, 148). The night watches are typically every one or two hours starting at 9 PM through midnight until dawn, or around 6 AM. And of course, you rising early before everyone else like Jesus did.

Sabbath activities include the same with added joyous expressions of much Scripture and focus on positive and happy interactions with your children. If Sabbath/Sunday is not a day of joy for your children, you are doing it wrong. And yes, this means fun. Remember Israel lost the land for failure to serve, worship, or walk with the Lord continually in gladness and joy (Deut 28:47).

For many, this may seem a lot and would force major changes in your lifestyle and that of your family. If you find yourself getting stressed trying to do this all at once, that is not from God. In that case, slow down, and spend time praising God and singing and speaking in tongues, and/or reading out loud Galatians thru Colossians repeatedly at whatever time-chunks you can muster, regularly or irregularly. Set a goal of 2-5 minutes each day and build from there.

Most who use the Affirmation Magnets in OK, GOD, Now What say the same ones out loud for at least an hour a day for at least 90 days. The normal program is tithing at least 2.4 hours per day. Fastest results are seen with 3-6 hour a day in the Affirmation Magnets and the teachings in OK, GOD, NOW What, along with time spent in other spiritual disciplines spread throughout the day and night. The full program is described in the book.

Note: in the Bible the word thanksgiving includes giving of thanks and/or doing all the faith acts from thanksgiving, praise, joy, affirmations, fasting (the flesh must be disappointed), courage, blessings, aiteo prayer and supplications. For the New Testament we include speaking and singing in tongues, and operating in the other gifts of Holy Spirit. So thanksgiving can mean all of this.

The good news is you can start small and work your way up in this. Small steps do count and you can start to see significant benefits with consistency.

Go to www.CovenantPeaceMinistries.com at the Contact Page, and get our free list of Top Ten Affirmations to get you started. Or get the Power Trilogy book, OK, GOD, Now What, and start an in-depth transformation process now.

You can start with just 2-5 minutes a day. For that we have taken the first Affirmation Magnet A in OK, GOD, Now What and broken it into 10 bite-sized pieces. To get your copy as a gift, just go to our website mentioned above, and go to the Contact Page to request your free listing of these Top-Ten, Scripture-rich, Affirmation Magnets.

They are called Magnets as diligent use will make your heart magnetic to God so you continually and diligently seek Him as a lifestyle of releasing His rewards. Heb 11:6 “But without pistis/faith (seen in continual and diligent faith actions against every threat to fear something other than God) it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must pisteuo/believe (seen in continual and diligent faith actions against every threat to fear something other than God) that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” The rewards come with diligent seeking with pistis faith actions, one of which is joy.

Soon you will find yourself easily and gladly obeying this powerful key that God has promised, even guaranteed, to release Him into your troubles for your deliverance. James 1:2 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience (so you develop the godly habit of faith actions the moment you are threatened or concerned that God will not show up, or reminded that the answer is not yet there as God tells us in Phil 4:4-9).”

Count means to call it joy even though it is not, but not just call it joy, count it as a call to do the thoughts, shouts and actions of joy anyway. So as these negative events and threats happen, you will be flooded with thoughts to make you give up on God, and become offended at God and others.

You will have to make cognitive choices, often at almost every moment and under intense pressure, to “count” it all as a call to joy, a call to battle, and then continue to do the faith actions BEFORE and UNTIL the answer comes.

In this process you will be building the Kingdom of God and destroying the kingdom of darkness, starting in your own soul to manifesting Jesus in every part of life.

Notice that this looks much like what the snake-bitten in the desert did with raah looking in Numbers 21, or as people express as they act in courage. As Jesus commanded in John 3:14-15, this is what we are to do in Communion as we pisteuo believe the Bible-way with faith actions of joy.

You can know that as you do the constant repetition of these Redemption facts, you will be exercising the best way science has found to write changes on your heart. That means it is a process of God within our very biology. It shows we are designed to act for success in God. So with the biological process using the Word of God, which is Spirit and zoe life, you will also be working in the spirit realm to get the good results and rewards God has promised.

Now, it does not matter what logic you use to get doing, but it is right, like Jesus would, doing of faith actions that makes the difference.

How long does it take? Well, for an immediate crisis, depending on where you are starting from, it can be an intense 30-60 minutes to 3-5 intense days of cramming on Redemption truth and Holy Spirit tongues. For a lifestyle, the shortest time for significant change is 90 days of continuous faith actions for 3-6 hours per day. This lifestyle change is very similar to going to the gym. Do less, get less; do more, get more.

“Well, I thought this was all by grace!” Yes that is true, but grace, Holy Spirit dwelling in us, compels us to work, to will and to do of God’s good pleasure. So the grace of God compels you to work, not to “get born-again,” but to release God into the earth as your regular lifestyle, just like Jesus and the early disciples did. And it is God’s good pleasure for us to heal the sick in the name of Jesus for and with Him. Col 1:29 “Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.”

1 Cor 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

Phil 2:13 “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.”

For all those troubled with thoughts of legalism, notice that God is working in you to work, to do of His good pleasure. That means God is working, can you do less?

The truly difficult thing is the consequences of not managing your thought life.

Keep Working the Word so God can Work!

God Bless You and Yours in the Name of Jesus to be more Noble in Him (Acts 17:11-12)

Jesus is Lord of Heaven and Earth!

Cessationist Preacher Building a Case

Cessationist Preacher Building a Case

Continuation of email discussion with Jake, a cessationist.

Correspondence with Don Mann on Divine Healing versus Cessationism – Part 2

Or, the Scriptural basis for why divine or faith or miracle healing is still occurring today.

Incited when Jake read my Prayer Testimony Article: Faith Healing Miracle Testimony with Methods of Dominion Right On Time Part 1 and 2.

Jake 8/5/14

Dear Don,    I was wondering if you and i could meet at a hospital together and heal some people in the icu, hospice or burn center?  Where and when would you like to meet?  Jake

My reply is below as I gave a combined response to this and the next email as  I did not respond right away to the first one.

Jake 8/6/14

Dear Don,

If your ideology was  authentic, no character attacks or protracted argumentation would be necessary.   The true miracles and delegated power  of the apostles did not require argumentation nor attack because they were self-evidently true and real.  [This is false as the apostles were thrown in jail for working miracles.] The miracles (as well as their poverty and suffering)  proved them to be “true” apostles of Jesus and gave credibility to their words.  They did not write nor need to write on how to unleash God’s power for health and wealth because that was not God’s will.  God gave them power (for a time) to verify their apostolic authority and  their message: that Jesus is the Christ and that by faith in His name, salvation was guaranteed and that those who did believe, would and  could endure, persecution, hardship and suffering for God’s glory and their  sanctification.

Your insults and verbosity indicate that words are all you have even though you claim to have more. [That is false as this thread started with me relating an answer to prayer for someone else] Your reliance on words to “prove” your “power and authority” is the exact opposite of the what the apostles did.  The entire abhorrent,  aberrant, “greedy ” word of Faith” movement sucks it’s followers dry with false words and twisting of Scripture which promises wealth, power and health to all who embrace it, by playing on their own greed and/or ignorance.  It is about power and wealth and manipulation.  Paul warned about those who would use the Gospel for their own gain.  This was not even the example of the apostles.  You are  in line with it, you probably even believe it,  but we were  all deceived in many ways.  Titus 3:3

I would suggest that if you respond, you should model love, respect and humility.  You have been very offensive, made suggestive/accusations about my character and grossly disobeyed Paul’s admonition in 2 Tim 2: 24 “The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged,  with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition,…”    [My use of strong words is kindness, so on Judgment Day you will have no excuse for retaining your perversions and denying all the people you could have helped had you learned to use the name of Jesus properly. Jesus used much stronger words than I do; He called you a “pit of vipers,” and a “whitewashed wall.” What I have not done is turn you over to Satan as Paul did to some of his detractors.] Though you will not persuade me to your error, if you are a believer, you are to demonstrate godly character in your manners.  [Jesus called your kind, “full of dead men’s bones,” I can do no less.] So far, in my eyes, not only your ideology betrays you, but also you manner. [There you have the key issue. Jake, yours is an ideology and not a relationship with the true and living Jesus. ]

I am done corresponding on this subject with you Don.  There is  plenty of truth available if you will humble yourself to receive it.  Many have abandoned the soul wrecking, disillusioning,  Health, wealth and word of Faith movements.  I will  pray that the Lord will show you your error as well.

Sincerely,   Jake

Don 8/6/14 to Jake

Jake, you are way too late. I have seen thousands of miracles already, and done many myself. I teach others to do them as Jesus commanded, and as the heritage and responsibility of every believer in Christ, and they see wonderful answers to the use of the name of Jesus. I am in the business of spreading and doing what you say cannot be done, which is exactly what Jesus commanded in the Great Commission found in Matt 28, and re-stated in Mark 16. We see the results Jesus promised to the glory of God. So for me, the cat is out of the bag and I can see the cessationist emperor has no clothes, and I am not ashamed to shout it to the hills.

I do understand that, while small in number, cessationist groups include Reformed Churches, Conservative Baptist and some Brethren groups. To me they are like those who said men could never fly by trying to shut down a modern airport. There is a difference between saying it cannot be done, and that it is not being done right. Cessationists make an ostrich with its head in the sand look open-minded.

I proclaim that it is by Sola Scriptura, only Scripture, that man can work with Holy Spirit to produce miracles. As one said, “The more absolute the Scriptures become to you, the more you absolutely see of God doing miracles through you.” And another said, “You will be divinely healed by one who narrows themselves to only Scripture more than yourself.”

From my position the current Scriptures makes the Bible infallible and of sufficient authority for man to work with God in divine wonders or any other part of life. So yes, biblical inerrancy is a major tenant of my life. Any errors in the current text can be resolved with a good Greek and Hebrew dictionary and some corrections of obvious scribal errors. And that the Scriptures as written are a sufficient guide in all matters of faith. My biggest problem is finding people who are willing to believe what is written, rather than those who redefine it to fit their experience, rather than letting the Bible define their experiences.

Your failures do not define the Bible, but proclaim your inability to seek God rather than blame Him.

As the Scripture says:

1 Cor 2:4-5

4 “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration [so that others can see and wonder] of the Spirit and of dunamis/power (miracle-working):

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the dunamis/power (miracle-working like Jesus did and still does through believing people) of God.”

This dunamis power is the same power that Jesus did miracles with. So if your current faith in not based on the present ability for Jesus to continue doing miracles through believers, then your faith, by definition is reprobate, useless for demonstrating God in dunamis power, agape love and a sound mind. You may preach Jesus, but you cannot demonstrate the reality that He is Lord and alive today.

Therefore your limited and heretical version of the gospel is based on the wisdom of men, and not the dunamis power of God.

1 Cor 2:4-5

4 And my speech and my preaching (proclamation to obey as the word of the king) was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration (visible manifestation, operation of the supernatural) of the Spirit and of dunamis/power:

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the dunamis/power of God.”

This is the biblical testimony of the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. While many debate whether the commands to work miracles is the deciding element of right gospel preaching, the testimony of New Testament preachers with Philip in Acts 8, Peter in Acts 5 where “all were healed” by supernatural power, and again Paul in:

Rom 15:19 “Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.”

Here Paul makes it abundantly clear that if your preaching is not with Holy Spirit signs and wonders, you are not preaching the Gospel of God in Jesus.

And again Paul says:

1 Cor 1:17 “For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.”

So you may preach the cessationist perversion of the gospel, you are only preaching words of wisdom and that means you are denying the power of the cross. I did not say this Paul did.

Since we are talking, not whether or not the original apostles are still alive, but if the One who works the miracles, Holy Spirit, is still in the church. If Holy Spirit is in anything, you get all of Him as He is, was and will be and not just a portion of Him. Holy Spirit has not ceased to be in the church, therefore there is no valid biblical basis for Cessationist theology.

And since Holy Spirit is ever with the church, then this same dunamis power is available for those who believe, and by definition, then cessationists have self-eliminated themselves from this. Saying God does capricious miracles once in a while denies the faithfulness seen in the sun that rises every day. And God has told us that is how He is.

Rom 1:19-20

19 “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”

And:

Ps 8:3 “When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained.”

Back in the 80’s, in what became known as the Charismatic Renewal, there were so many previously Cessationist Southern Baptists speaking in tongues, and doing and receiving miracles, that many simply left that dead old religion and followed God. Over time the Charismatic and Pentecostal groups even became accepted in local ministerial associations.

Miracles By Satan: For those who claim we do miracles by the power of Satan, rather than God. At least we can agree that someone is doing miracles, which again destroys the Cessationist logic. Here is the answer Jesus gave for the same accusation:

Luke 11:17-20

17 “But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.

20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.”

And again:

Matt 12:24-28

24 “But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”

Now most cessationists cannot respond here because they typically cast out no devils. Even the Pharisees/religious leaders in Jesus’ day were more spiritually advanced than today’s cessationists. But I do pray and work miracles in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. And the one who does the supernatural part is Holy Spirit, the Finger (or power) of God. This is the same Holy Spirit anyone gets when they get born again in Jesus.

And even the Jews of today still cast out devils. So here is an amazing thing. Christians who are cessationists cannot cast out devils, but Jews, who use the same Holy Spirit as Jesus did, can cast out devils. So Jews still get to access the power of God under the Old Covenant, which technically no longer exists, yet, according to the cessationists, we Christians under a new and better covenant, cannot access Holy Spirit for the same task. Now that makes no sense at all. If anything we ought to be able to cast out demons or devils easier. And for non-cessationists, also known as Continuationists, Christian believers that appears to be true in many cases. So who do you think had the hand of God with them?

Bible Revision Stopped: What I think is really cool is that, at one time, the cessationists ridiculed Mark 16:14-20 as being not valid, until recent research and findings has established that as solid biblical truth. Even some of the Bible translations that eliminated these verses have put them back in.

Mark 16:14-20

14 “Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

Not to mention that if you needed it, I could show you where all of those statements can be found elsewhere in the New Testament. And of course that is included when Jesus said:

Matt 28:20 “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

And that “all things” includes doing:

Mark 16:17-18

17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

And this has never been repealed either. But the criteria, is that these signs follow believers. I can teach you how to believe, but you do have to do it.

Character: My comments have been observations; the character attacks would be entirely separate. I have no idea if you brush your teeth every day, help little old ladies across the street, or what. But I do know this from your words; you will watch people die and not offer them the hand of Jesus to set them free so you can avoid the possibility of not seeing an answer to your prayer. All I know about your character is from your emails, and that is a sad reflection for a born again Christian.

You would rather walk into a hospital room full of concerned and even grieving people, and put on a show that dismisses their humanity, so you can attempt to prove a point that you have no intention of accepting if your expectation is not seen. You would rather knock the hope out of hurting people, rather than give them hope. At this time in your heart, it does not matter if you saw a thousand people divinely healed in the name of Jesus or just one; you would never bow your knee to truth or Jesus your Lord. Jesus said that, not me.

Crassness: This reminds me of a special I recently saw on Donald Rumsfeld, I think it was the History Channel, when he was Secretary of Defense. He related how he went into a hospital room where all the medical staff told him that the man in the bed would never make it. They assured him there was no way. Yet that man’s wife held hope for her unconscious husband. Rumsfeld then got choked up as he said the guy lived and actually got better.

Your tactics would have been sure to knock out whatever hope she had and how ever they got their miracle, but you know she prayed and perhaps others prayed. You would have “corrected” her and pronounced that your true god, science, had no hope and do not waste your time in prayer, for God does not hear. And you would have done this to prove you are right. Thank God you were not there. And you want me to take you to hospital rooms of suffering people? Such cruel pride deserves little respect and much abuse.

The level of crassness you have displayed is far beyond my ability to articulate. And is not the work of God, but of Satan, our enemy. In legal terms, this makes you a traitor to the Kingdom of God. To prove me wrong, all you have to do is to stir yourself up into Jesus, and go heal a few of those suffering people in the name of Jesus.

Here is how I have been responding to you, just to be clear. Matt 7:6 “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”

My observation is that you have proven the cruel metal that has its evil grip on your soul at this time. It is sad to see such potential lost in such bitterness and fear. You are made for better, and are living well below what you are made for in Jesus.

But you have given me a new phrase to work with. There are no atheists in foxholes, and neither are there any cessationists.

I have read of how other cessationists have used your offer of going to a hospital as a method of debunking “faith healers” or continuationists. I did not understand why your perverse offer affected me so negatively until I thought about it. Now I know you would take delight in the death and suffering of all to prove your point. I often take others with me as I minister, but I never realized that I trusted that they were more interested in seeing the sick healed than assisting the suffering and death of others as you are.

This puts you in the position of this evil king:

Luke 23:8 “And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.”

Prayer Listing: Know that rather than berating you and your insensitivity, I have added you to my prayer list.

Matt 5:44 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”

And since you are so perfect in your theology, you have added me to your prayer list for blessings also, right? I thought not, but perhaps you would consider obeying something out of Scripture, and do it.

Provoke to Righteousness: Consider:

Heb 10:23-24

23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.”

Here, the word translated “provoke,” in the original Greek, means to incite to good, or dispute in anger, contention. There is nothing casual about this word, or the message from God. So if I am disputing your false statements and heresies, I am perfectly in order by the Scriptures. Those who refuse to hear and stay trapped to do the will of the devil use this verse in 2 Timothy 2:24 to complain about anything they do not like. And they ignore other commands such as:

Titus 3:10-11

10 “A man that is a heretic after the first and second admonition reject;

11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.”

You have already passed the first and second admonition, or mild rebuke, so I am commanded to reject you. This means you have gone from an honest misunderstanding to where you are now a heretic and admonishing truth as one fully deceived. Now does that sound patient with your corruptions? When you call me a liar as I report a testimony, that is when you crossed the line. I am simply reporting what another said happened, and you call them corrupt. How arrogant can you be?

My subsequent many scripture references, you call them many words, I call it case logic from the Word of God that demands a rational judgment, which you seem incapable of at this time. No one can say that you were not shown by many Scriptures your deceptions.

Rom 16:17-18

17 “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned [from Paul]; and avoid them.

18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

And such as yourself deny the next major statement:

Rom 16:20 “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.”

By your very statements, you disqualify yourself from this kind of supernatural working that God says is your purpose and He has equipped you with Holy Spirit to be able to do. This is a restatement of Acts 10:38 as it applies to the Body of Christ.

Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

And as Jesus was sent to do what is described in Acts 10:38, Jesus has assigned us, the Body of Christ, the same task.

John 20:21 “Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.”

And from that same letter to Timothy that urges patience, in just a few later verses, Paul also says, specifically aimed at cessationists:

2 Tim 3:5-7

5 “Having a form of godliness, but denying the dunamis/power (miracle-working power and ability ) thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

As the Bible describes your mind as defiled and unbelieving, you cannot even accept reports of any and all kinds in order to maintain your deceptions.

Titus 1:15-16

15 “Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate (useless, like garbage, not able to perform the miracles that Jesus said was the basics for Christians).”

God Does the Healing: I don’t heal people, God does. Or technically it is Jesus by Holy Spirit by me as a member of His body, who does the healings. But just like Jesus as a human, I am God’s soul and body on the job. That is what you are made for in Jesus. Divine healing fits the Bible category of good works like Jesus did as opposed to ordinary, human good works.

Divine Healing is not all Instant: Concerning visiting hospital rooms and the sick, not every event is instant. Some divine healings are immediate, others are over time. For Jesus, the ten lepers got healed as they went. This could have been over a few hours or days.

Luke 17:12-19

12 “And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.”

Sometimes it takes multiple prayers. Jesus had to minister twice to one man:

Mark 8:22-25

22 “And he (Jesus) cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.

24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.”

Here are two where it was within an hour or so, but not instant; one with Jesus and one with Paul.

John 4:47-54

47 “When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.

52 Then inquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.”

Acts 16:16-18

16 “And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.”

If you were the Bible expert you claim to be, you would already know this.

If no one got healed immediately when I minister, none of that changes the Word of God. You remember, the Bible we have established you only partially believe but are an expert on? And could I trust you to hang around and see when they do get healed? Of course not, that would require care and concern, of which I detect little. Not to mark them off on a sheet, but to see the love of God in action and their lives bettered, and your heart encouraged in truth.

Go See: Thank you for the offer to go to hospital rooms with you. Since I already know Jesus still does miracles for people, your participation is not for me, but for you. God has never ceased from helping people who operate in faith that He will save.

But I already know three things concerning you:

1)      There are lots of places you can go see miracles, books you can read about them, even with detailed medical and hostile media reports, and lots of videos on You Tube to see miracles as they occur. Some back in the 1950’s and some recently as last week.

2)      The issue is, will you believe if you see a miracle of any kind in any period since the last of the original apostles died? I would assume you mean either Paul or John. I think the records indicate John died last. All we need is one answer to prayer in the name of Jesus over some 1800 years to prove your cessationist house of cards is wrong. Since that has already happened millions of times, you do not need to go with me to see miracles.

3)      Based on where your heart is, it is only by reading and believing Scriptures that you will believe, seeing thousands of miracles, much less one, with not crack that hard heart of yours at this time.

God’s Sorrow Over Lack of Divine Healing: Here is Jesus’ lament over your kind:

Matt 13:15 “For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.”

And concerning how Holy Communion works for you, here is another lament by God over ignorance and hard hearts in sickness and death.

1 Cor 11:30 “For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.”

This problem is not new; here God describes it relative to individual death and societal destruction in this lament by God:

Hos 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

We are not sick, weak and die early deaths by administrative decisions by God, but just like failure to open the windows when we smell natural gas, we have kept in ignorance. Since you have no faith for answered prayer, you have already disqualified yourself from being the priest and king God has made you in Jesus.

1 Peter 2:7-9

7 “Unto you therefore which believe he (Jesus) is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:”

And yes, you fit the description of the disobedient, unbelieving, as you have not obeyed Jesus’ commands to heal the sick in your city. Notice, this does not change your assignment from God, but whether you are doing as commanded or not. Anytime you are ready to learn and obey, God is there for you to work miracles through you, as He is for any Christian.

Since Jesus said the Old Testament will never pass away, this still applies.

Matt 5:18-19

18 “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law (Old Testament), till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

In verse 19 you are teaching others to break the commandments of Jesus. You are still in the Kingdom, but your position is beneath all others because you are so vocal, you and John MacArthur.

Since John MacArthur’s show is called “Grace to you,” here is what God says you are to do with this grace.

Rom 5:17 “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”

This verse clearly states that if you receive this grace that is directed to you, you will reign in life by Jesus. To reign means to be a king, that what you say happens. Since it is obvious that you are not reigning in love, truth and power in this world, it means that you have failed to receive this grace and the gift of righteousness in such a way that what you say happens, including divine healing and other answers to prayer.

So whatever you and John MacArthur are preaching, it is falling way short of the glory of God, and that means it is sin because you teach people not to have faith in God so He can answer, and you mock those who do. This is not what I say, but Holy Spirit through Paul:

Rom 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

Rom 14:23 “…for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”

Even though you have denied Jesus and His power, this still applies to you.

James 4:17 “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

And yes, that “good” includes divine healing and other signs and wonders done in and by the name of Jesus.

We are Commanded to Teach Others to do Divine Healing: And that Jesus’ words, including the commands to teach others to heal, will not pass away.

Luke 21:33 “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”

And here is just one such command of Jesus.

Matt 10:6 “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”

And another:

Luke 10:8-11

8 “And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:

9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,

11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.”

And again:

Luke 10:19-20

19 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Satan, the devil): and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”

These are part of what Jesus commanded that disciples are to teach others to do until the end of the world, and the end of the world has not happened yet.

Matt 28:20 “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Suggestions: But, so you will have no excuses on the Day of Judgment, here are some suggestions.

I suggest you go see Rev. Charles Ndifon; he is in Rhode Island and closer to you than I am. I seem to remember one story about him where one like you stood up in a meeting to ridicule him, and if I remember correctly, ended up hanging on the wall for a couple of hours. He was moved and held by some supernatural force. I have seen such people “frozen” for a period of time also. Are you really going to “play?” God does not seem to do that often, but maybe you will be a “special” one.

If you really want to grow in Christ, get all three of my Power Trilogy books and read them, and then we can talk. They are full of Scripture. This is a way you can “know your enemy.” Also get the book I mentioned earlier about Rev. Ndifon. And he has a much fuller ministry schedule than I have. He used to have a divine healing service every Friday night when he is in the country.

Or go look up Todd White, A. A. Allen, Jack Coe, and Tim Storey on www.youtube.com. Just type in their name and add the word “miracles.” The ones with Allen and Coe are juried, where a local judge certified that the people had the diseases claimed, and that they were healed as shown on TV. This back in the 1950’s and this was the only way they could be on TV then. The preaching is not really useful, but the miracles are awesome. And for people like you, hopefully seeing these miracles can be compelling.

Rather than firing from the hip, I suggest you go read the scriptures I referenced in my reply to you earlier. It is obvious you did not. If you had, I could maybe expect a few questions, or a thank you that this is what the Word of God says. Rather, I got a tirade on subjects I never even brought up, and you stereotyped me into without knowing me.

You must work to believe the Scriptures: Do you seriously think that no matter how many miracles you see Jesus do through me or anyone else, that I think it will convert you? Are you that scripturally ignorant? Concerning we Christians can become just like those who died in the desert with Moses:

Heb 4:2-3

2 “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. … 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

So if you want to die just like those did with Moses while God was around them in miracles of fire by night, cloud by day, food every morning, and water coming from a rock wherever they went, then keep at it. If you want to live, then heed the message of Hebrews and do not be like them, but work at mixing the word of God in faith to see miracles and giants overcome. This is your choice, not God’s.

Jesus had people watch Him heal crowds by the thousands, and they still plotted to kill Him. Judas worked miracles in the name of Jesus and betrayed Him. Almost all the original apostles were martyred for working miracles in the name of Jesus. And that is still going on today where rebels, thugs and bandits single out “the miracle men.” What makes you any different?

This is what Jesus said:

John 5:46-47

46 “For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?”

Until you are willing to believe the Scriptures, what good are you? I did not say this, Jesus did.

Now if you want to obey Jesus and read the scriptures on healing, get my book, FM2, as it has all of them listed for reference.

Royal Touch: History records that miracles in the name of Jesus have been maintained all through Christendom’s history. One of the special ones to me is the “Royal Touch.” This went on from about 1100 to 1850. I don’t remember exactly. Here the kings and queens of England and France held mass divine healing meetings at least once a year, and healed all the people with the “Royal Touch” in the name of Jesus. It is included in the term, the divine right of kings. I am told it is recorded in those nation’s records for all that time. Apparently these records show the annual meetings, the numbers that came, how many got healed right then, and of what.

I am told that many Anglicans or Episcopalians are familiar with this in England. And obviously cessationists are not. Think of it, hundreds of records over 500 years, and you say they are liars.

Just this one item, of the historically validated Royal Touch, is more than enough to shatter the cessationist house of cards and show that cruel and loveless emperor has no clothes. Remember that soldier that Rumsfeld saw who got a miracle? You would rather he have a tombstone in Arlington National Cemetery, than to see him bounding his grandchildren on his knees. This is what I see in your character.

Just this one practice, for some 700 years, shows a continuation of Holy Spirit power when people will believe God in His promises. Thus the dispensation of the apostles continues through to today in signs and wonders. While prejudiced men may proclaim Cessationism, God proclaims the opposite known as Continuationism.

What un-reformed or un-revised history shows is that the gifts of Holy Spirit have been operational in every generation since Jesus, right through to today. And the good news for us today is that Holy Spirit is alive and well on planet earth, and more people are seeing divine healing in our time than ever before in human history.

Qualifications: As Jesus said in Luke 10:11 (above), I am to kick the dust of your corruption, ridicule, mockery and hard heart off of my feet. In order for us to meet, you will have to start by meeting those qualifications I mentioned earlier.

a)      Read all three of my Power Trilogy books

b)      Read “God of Miracles”

c)       Watch all the Todd White videos

d)      Go see Rev. Ndifon

For some simplified teaching on this you can go to my website, www.CovenantPeaceMinistries.com and read articles and watch videos for free.

Please tell me when you have done all of this.

Make Compassion Stir You: And in the meantime, go to a children’s hospital ward and stare at that misery until you cry out for God to use you to help them with the name of Jesus. And if that does not do it, go to a veteran’s hospital and do the same. Do it until the briefest glimmer of hope that God could move through you today is possible rises. He can if you would only believe His Scriptures. As a Christian this is what you are made for. And keep considering that Jesus said, “Believers in my name shall, Mark 16:18 …lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.”

Apostles: One of the chief issues with cessationists appears to be answer to prayer and the presence of certain church functions, specifically apostles or those that act like them. Cessationists are known for revising history and the Bible to suit their own beliefs. One of the main principles of Bible study is to neither add to nor remove text. This the cessationists do rather frequently.

In order to support these strange doctrines, along with a lot of other verses, one has to remove much of Ephesians 4 from the Bible. We are told Jesus has given:

Eph 4:11 “And he (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.”

Here are listed 5 unique ministries and all are provided for a purpose. If you have pastors and teachers, you must also have evangelists, and apostles and prophets. These are a set of functions that have a purpose. So if you have pastors you must also have apostles, prophets, evangelists and teachers in the Body of Christ.

And here is the awesome responsibility of these 5 functions:

Eph 4:12-15

12 “For the perfecting (maturing) of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.”

First, these ministries are not needed in heaven; they are for life on earth. And until their job is done, God has them in the earth. And of great importance are verses 13 and 15. So until these 5 ministries complete their job of verses 13 -15, they are still part of the program of God on earth for today. As their goal is to get us, the members of the Body of Christ, Christians on earth, to “the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,” they are still here.

And what does “the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” look like? Here is one description.

Acts 10:34-38

34 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”

Note: the actions of Cornelius, a Gentile centurion, got an angel to stand in front of him so he could go get Peter to give him the gospel. This is what acceptance with God looks like.

36 “The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;”

Here is the first summary of the work of Jesus seen in the gospels.

38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

Verse Acts 10:38 summarizes that all the miracles Jesus did were in one way or the other, removing the “oppressions of the devil.” This is how Jesus and the early believers walked, and is still the goal of God for His church on earth.

Notice, Jesus removed the oppression or lordship or rulership of the devil to get people healed. Thus sickness is not from God, but the devil, and the job, of those who walk is some measure of the fullness of Christ, in the Church, is to finish what Jesus started.

So until the Body of Christ operates like verse 38, the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are still to be in the Body of Christ. Their purpose is to get us, the ordinary believers walking in this work of the ministry (Eph 4:12) like Jesus did. Then we are operating in “the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,” and that we may “grow up into him, Jesus, in all things. And “all things” includes the healings and miracles like Jesus did. And that obviously has not happened. This is the exact opposite of what cessationists claim, and thus their views are very contrary to the core New Testament message. And Eph 4 has never been repealed.

Eph 4:12 “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

The evidence of apostles, prophets, etc. is not just that they work miracles, but that they teach the ordinary church members to work miracles as stated: Eph 4:12 “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” Thus “the work of the ministry” includes getting other people divinely healed.

Are we as effective as Jesus in the gospels? Not yet, but the JGLM-Healing Rooms method comes the closest. There are two different issues. The First is do valid miracles occur today? For that we have overwhelming evidence that they do.

The Second is the level of success. As a general rule, for an active believer it seems that the statistics follow Dr. John Lake’s Healing Rooms of 1914-1924 of about 30% instant and the rest over the course of 30 days of continuous ministry.

For those who do not operate in such divine power, the New Testament provides a strong warning.

2 Tim 3:5 “Having a form of godliness, but denying the dunamis/power (miracle) thereof: from such turn away.”

This by the man who commanded:

1 Cor 14:1 “Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts…”

So if you are not desiring, working at walking in, the spiritual gifts of 1 Cor 12 and Rom 12, you are in disobedience. Thus as long as Holy Spirit is here, the gifts are here for those who desire them. Saying the gifts have stopped does not remove the command to bring them back and operate in them.

And by straight definition, this means cessationists are in rebellion against God. As a result, we are warned to shun such people who deny such operative power of God. So while I am to work with you under certain conditions, I am also to shun and be wary of you to obey the scriptures as described here:

Jude 22-23

22 “And of some have compassion, making a difference:

23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”

Now those cessationists who say they would operate these Holy Spirit gifts if God gave them to them, these are denying 1 Cor 14:1. You don’t wait for them; you told to go after them. When you are ready to obey God in this, I will be happy to work with you then.

The bottom line for all of this is that Holy Spirit is still here and does through men and women who will believe, what He always has done, work miracles, signs and wonders, and that will never cease. And by the records of history, He never has.

How To Do It: If Jesus spent 3-6 hours a day, 1-4 all nights a week, and often arose early in the morning for Scripture prayer, and Peter, James, Paul and other disciples did the same, and all taught their disciples to do the same, along with 1-6 hours a day in Holy Spirit tongues, why not you? So if you wonder where your answers from God are, now you know.

If you did not spend the time and  “Jesus-effort” before the battle, do not be surprised if you have to spend it in the battle to get victory. Otherwise learn to accept defeat, and blame it on something else rather than your lack of diligence. If you are a child of God, born-again in Jesus, you have all the power of God there is. The issue is you effectively renewing your mind to release God.

God spent the wonder of the Universe, Jesus, for our healing and blessing. The issue is not God withholding anything. The issue is us doing the right things to release Him, as God is no respecter of persons, nor can He show partiality (Acts 10:34-35).

Acts 10:34-35

34 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”

This means that all those you think are closer to God than you are did not get there by the special finger of God, but did it by doing more of the right things of God than you did. And that includes Jesus and all the apostles in the Bible. Jesus came as a man and emptied Himself of deity. So He removed from Himself everything that you do not have, so He could do it like you can do it.

But until you repent and seek the Lord in truth, then here is what I am commanded to do with you.

Matt 18:15-17

15 “Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.”

As far as I am concerned, your cessationist views are profane heresy and an obvious blasphemy of  the gospel, and at best, shows a gross ignorance of the cross, if not out right denying the power of the cross. I did not say this, God does.

1 Cor 1:15 “For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach (command and demonstrate) the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.”

And again:

1 Cor 2:5 “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the dunamis/power of God [just like Jesus did and still does today].”

God Bless You and Yours in the Name of Jesus to be more Noble in Him (Acts 17:11-12)

Jesus is Lord of Heaven and Earth!

Hey Matt.  Hope you are well.  Thanks for sending the email. This type of thinking is called “word of faith” which is hyper-Pentecostal.  I would like to comment positively on this but i can’t.  If you would like to know more of my view on this which is in line with the Protestant reformation, i would be glad to share it with you bro.   God bless

Jake

Matt to Jake

Jake, I suspected your response and definitely want to hear your views on it.  Been in NYC hospitals with mom for her surgery this week. She is ok. I think I pass your house, can I stop by some time?   Best, Matt

NOTE: Shortly after this discussion, Matt’s mother was divinely healed of kidney cancer. They went in and found no cancer on August 14, and then she, 85 years old, was up and walking all day in about 10 days. This was a miracle healing and an extraordinary recovery.

The mother, an atheist all her life, woke up praising Jesus for healing her as she was told she might not survive the surgery.

We did not tell Jake about this testimony.

MK 8/4/14

Matt to Jake,

Does your version of the Protestant Reformation Theology result in healings today?

Don says what his article is, is his version of Protestant Reformation Theology.

Don says for you to leave us your phone number for his people to call you at midnight for those late night calls of desperation, to get them healed within an hour after you get the prayer request.

God Bless, Matt

Jake 8/4/14 to Michael

Matt, We are cessationists because we claim the sign gifts of miracles died with the apostles after the establishment of the church. The gifts in the book of acts are no more repeatable than is the crucifixion of Jesus.  We contend that these are historical onetime events, not patterns to follow.  (Reformed) Church History is cooperative with this.  I highly recommend reading John MacArthur “strange fire ” and “charismatic chaos”.

MK 8/4/14   The Bible’s “name it and claim it” verse.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Jake 8/4/14 to Don

– So if you believe that you can prevent every death in the world tomorrow  no one will die right?   Or if you believe that you can go to a cemetery and resurrect all who are in the grave, you will be able to empty it right?

Context and harmony with other scriptures is needed to be biblical!!!

Don 8/5/14 responding to Jake’s 8/4 email.

Hi Jake,

What are you saying? Jake, you said: “So if you believe that you can prevent every death in the world tomorrow no one will die right? Or if you believe that you can go to a cemetery and resurrect all who are in the grave, you will be able to empty it right?”

Even Jesus did not demonstrate your specious statements! But He will one day!

Are you so angry at God that you are calling me a liar? You cannot believe that God who NEVER CHANGES, (Mal 3:6) and Jesus who is THE SAME, YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER, (Heb 13:8) still cannot do what Jesus did then? How foolish!

The same God who did the miracles of Jesus, Abraham and Moses, is still around and still doing what He has always done. So you not only call me a liar, you call the Bible a liar, and therefore you call God, Holy Spirit and Jesus as liars. That is a job title called, Accuser of the Brethren, and not a happy job description.

Mal 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not…”

Heb 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

I had no idea that simply reporting an answer to prayer would bring such denouncement and allegations that my reporting what happened is all a lie. I have been praying and seeing people get healed most of my adult life, so this is not new to me. But to come back with such specious and obviously ignorant statements out of nowhere is a first for me.

If you want medically diagnosed, medically terminated and the patient left to die, and then medically validated re-diagnosis that the patient was totally healed, organs restored, etc, after prayer-based ministry in the name of Jesus, then look into the ministries of John Lake of the early 1900-1935 or T. L. Osborn (died 2013), or Curry Blake (still living), or Charles Ndifon (still living) for more recent times.

Funny thing is, they all maintained records of the diagnoses of the terminally sick and then well by the thousands, and their testimony is that they never saw anyone who saw the records even bothered to talk to the doctors involved, nor to those so healed, but summarily denied the records and the personal testimonies of those healed, just like your beloved John MacArthur does. The doubters typically are like the leaders in the Bible, who saw Jesus heal people and then killed Him to stop the miracles, because they drew people to Him. That is the pool you are drinking from. And that water is never sweet.

So you are left with the medical industry where the statistics are that roughly 1/3 are helped, 1/3 get well in spite of medical intervention and 1/3 die. The failures of modern medicine are so staggering it takes an idiot to go to a doctor, as it is now the leading cause of death in America.

At least medicine tries to help people; you and MacArthur remove every hope in God and turn them over to “science!” You are like a man who sees a cripple walking with a broken crutch, and you kick it out from under him, and then roll him off the road so you cannot stumble over him. Yet ever since the days of the Book of Acts, there are people who deny your cruel message and see God in gracious power.

The Southern Baptists have been cessationists since the 1700’s, but some churches have recently reversed this position due to the large numbers of obviously divine healing and manifestation of the 1 Cor 12 gifts of Holy Spirit, among their own members. This leaves the number of cessationist groups a small minority among Christians. It is just recently that the vast number of healing miracles among their own members, as mostly delivered by Word of Faith people, has caused the Southern Baptists to reverse their stance. They still have it twisted, but at least they now teach all the Holy Spirit gifts of 1 Cor 12, 14 and Rom 12 are for today. They have gone from cessationists to at least allowing continuationism of divine events.

Here are several passages describing the New Testament gifts of Holy Spirit in the church.

1 Cor 12:7-10

7 “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.”

1 Cor 14:14-15

14 “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.”

1 Cor 12:28 “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”

1 Cor 14:31 “For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.”

Rom 12:6-8

6 “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.”

Miracle healings are now so prevalent in the medical industry that they call them “Spontaneous Remissions,” rather than try to explain them. But in the last 20 years these SR’s have increased dramatically as the word of healing in Jesus is getting out. And yes, they are far more prevalent in the south where faith is taught more often, than in the more faithless north where we live.

Among those in the group I am with, led by Curry Blake of John G Lake Ministries, www.jglm.org, as was true with Dr Lake in the early 1900’s, many doctors have left the medical business to do divine healing in the name of Jesus.

For today, the doctrine of cessationism is firmly entrenched in what is called Reformed Christianity, of which John MacArthur is a part. This is the belief that the apostolic and charismatic gifts (including speaking in tongues) ceased after the original 12 apostles passed away. However, several notable early church fathers—such as Justin Martyr (100-165), Irenaeus (115-202), Tertullian (160-220), and Origen (185-254)—recorded that the spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues, were still active in the church in their days. Augustine of Hippo (354-430), author of City of God, recorded healing miracles in his day. All of these are long after John, the last of the original apostles, had passed away around 100 AD. With these and other reports, there is significant historical evidence that the gifts did not stop at the death of John. There is significant evidence that the gifts have been in evidence since the early New Testament days through to today.

Recent Facts: J. D.  King recounted that, though the church was conceived in the wicked constraints of the Roman Empire, it still found a way to grow exponentially.

Reflecting on this, Mark Galli, the editor of Christian History Magazine, noted that by AD 350 “about 56 percent of the population claimed to be Christians.”

Within a short period of time, of about 300 years, the followers of Jesus literally overtook this violent, unforgiving empire.

Historians such as Ramsey MacMullen of Yale and Peter Brown of Princeton acknowledge this expansion happened, principally, through healing and deliverance. In a time of intense persecution and evil, numerous conversions were ignited by these compelling signs and wonders.

Many would readily acknowledge this truth. Yet, they are reticent to accept this as a contemporary approach for evangelism and engagement, particularly in America. I certainly comprehend the skepticism and uncertainty. Yet the supernatural not only enabled growth in the tumultuous beginning, it is also facilitating growth right now.

This kind of expansion is currently evident throughout the third world. Many testimonies and demographic reports reveal that healing, deliverance and the gifts of the Spirit are facilitating a great expansion of the church. Luis Lugo points out that “Pentecostal beliefs and practices are literally reshaping the face of Christianity throughout the developing world.”

The estimates are that 80-90 % of recent developing world conversions to Christianity are by “Power Evangelism,” where most converts either were healed or had demons cast out of themselves, or saw them in others. To them the issue is that every healing and demon deliverance is the declaration that God, through the name of  Jesus, is the most powerful God.

For the most part, these things obviously are lacking in the American church, which explains a lot. – See more at: http://www.charismanews.com/opinion/45460-the-real-reason-american-churches-aren-t-growing#sthash.1Aqic7x9.dpuf

These validated historical facts debunk, destroy and makes ludicrous the Cessationist claim that God stopped doing wholesale miracles after the last apostle died, which is assumed to be John, at around 100 AD.

Jesus clearly stated that Holy Spirit is the one that did His miracles. It was not Jesus acting as God, but Jesus acting as a man working with God so He could be our example.

Here Jesus tells us it was not Him, but that Jesus used Holy Spirit to cast out the devils. It was Holy spirit in response to Jesus’ commands that cast out the devils or demons.

Matt 12:28 “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”

Here Jesus tells us that it was not Jesus but Father God (by Holy Spirit) who did all the signs and wonders Jesus did.

John 14:10 “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

Notice that Jesus then tells the disciples that those who believe on Jesus can do what Jesus did and even greater. The requirement is to be a believer, and not just an origional apostle of Jesus.

Holy Spirit: The chief issue for the subject of “Are miracles for today,” is where is Holy Spirit? If He is still here, which most of these cessationists claim, then all the gifts of Holy Spirit are here with Him and therefore the book of Acts cannot go away, but lives on today. Holy Spirit is a person and you get all of Him if you get any of Him. So with Him comes the gifts of Holy Spirit, which includes divine healing.

Jake, you are into an old heresy. For that matter Dr. Lake (during the years of 1890-1935) spent a lot of time dealing with cessationists in his day, so there are several articles about it in the book that Pam has by Roberts Liardon. From a historical perspective the signs and wonders seems to have reduced at around 400 AD, but every generation has had reports of divine activity. Today, by sheer numbers, the gifts of Holy Spirit are in abundance all over the earth.

And I put a couple of these clarifying articles in my book, “Battle Prayer for Divine Healing – FM2.”

Jake, If you are open to honest investigation, then read a copy of “The God of Miracles” by Henri Nissen, of an outpouring of divine miracles in the name of Jesus, in Denmark around 2000-2003 with atheistic corroborated newspaper and TV recorded miracles, all medically validated as real and then healed supernaturally, by the hundreds. The minister there was Charles Ndifon.

You said: So if you believe that you can prevent every death in the world tomorrow, no one will die right?   Or if you believe that you can go to a cemetery and resurrect all who are in the grave, you will be able to empty it right?

I did not make either of these specious statements, you did. Now both your specious statements will come to pass, when Jesus returns in the flesh. They are for that day, but not now. Or do you not know this?

That article I wrote related at least two non-cessationists (or continuationist) answers to prayer. What makes you think you calling me a liar is valid, or somehow changes what has already happened? What kind of person does that? And then bold statements like these? What is going on?

An honest seeker would ask for details, or at least some kind of questions. Perhaps even talk to the mother involved. You do none of this; you just shout that you have the truth and all I said was lies. This is a sad way for an intelligent seeker to go.

Let me get this straight. You are cessationists because you cannot get prayer with God to work, is that right? And because you “know” prayer does not work, you don’t even try to learn and do, is that right? That is like saying you lost your car keys, and therefore all cars no longer exist and certainly cannot drive. But effective prayer can be learned and Jesus taught on it.

This is self-fulfilling because God only responds to faith, not need. He suffers with you and wants to heal you, but needs faith in Him by His word to release Him. The promises of God go to believers, and not just those in need. Since you say God will not do this, then you can have no faith in God by His word. Therefore you do not see answers to prayer. Such is your sad circle of deplorable and hopeless logic.

I know you would refute this, but the good news is that for people like me, I do not need any faith on your part to get you healed in the name of Jesus. Since we have seen cessationists get healed all my life, your need should not be a problem. This is how you raise people from the dead. The dead have no faith, and so we do not need much faith on the part of those we pray for.

Your position is, if you can’t do it, it cannot be done. You are like a kid holding a tennis racket, and because some idiot told you that you cannot possibly hit tennis balls, you don’t even try. And even worse, you picket the TV stations because they show the tennis championships, just because you could not hit a tennis ball. And you stand on the hill above the public tennis courts while people play, yelling, “You are deceived, what you are doing cannot be done (because I can’t do it).”

You have fallen into the trap of interpreting the Bible by your experience, rather letting the Bible define your experiences. Your failures in prayer do not define God, but they do define your ignorance, doubts, unbelief, lack of diligence, and probably lack of compassion. And that is what the Bible says, not me. Since you are so in love with the medical industry, this is the diagnosis.

The Book of Acts is more accurately described as not, the acts of men, but the acts of Holy Spirit, through ordinary men. Jesus stated Holy Spirit is His replacement for the presence of God. So as long as Holy Spirit is on earth, the Book of Acts is not yet finished, and Jesus is still doing what Jesus has always done. And to assign miracles only to the Book of Acts time frame is to deny all the Old Testament miracles done seeking Jehovah God.

The first recorded healing miracle in the Bible is in the book of Genesis with Abraham (Genesis 20:17) and in that prayer a whole household of people got healed. The same God of the Old Testament is the same God of the New Testament, and is the same God of forever, who changes not and therefore is the same God of today.

Gen 20:17 “So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.”

If He worked miracles for Abraham in answer to prayer, then He is still capable of working miracles for those who will seek Him today. Therefore, if you do not work miracles by prayer in the name of Jesus, then you are not one who seeks God, but men. Again, your comments on the Bible are therefore corrupt and dangerous to biblical honesty and integrity. And that is a biblical statement made in the context of the Bible and your last 2 emails.

It is not biblical or in a godly context to call someone a liar just because you don’t like the message. That is right; kill the messenger and the events they report will cease to exist. So if someone had shot Paul Revere during the American Revolution to stop his famous ride, then that means the British would not have come, by your logic. It may be one thing to honestly debate theology, but it is another to call witness reports a lie. That is dishonest. And the essence of our modern scientific inquiry is honest investigation. So you have self-eliminated yourself as an honest investigator.

Well, for you I am sorry, you and your lies are too late; I have over one hundred similar reports, divine miracles all across the world. And I know others who have many more. And they are all over YouTube to watch in unedited glory.

Holy Spirit is here and He will be with the Christian forever:

John 14:16-17

16 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

Because until Holy Spirit leaves this earth, Rom 12, 1 Cor 12 and 14 will forever stand as to what Holy Spirit always does for those who take the trouble to believe by the Bible. And who repealed Mark 11:22-26; John 14:12-14; or 16:23-24? And of course you call Jesus a liar when He taught us to pray the Our Father. To you this is just wasted effort. Why pray if there are no answers?

Mark 11:21-26

21 “And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God (or operate in faith like God does).

23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye aiteo/desire (demand, require and expect as due by covenant promise), when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

John 14:12-14

12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall aiteo/ask (demand, require and expect as due by covenant promise) in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall aiteo/ask (demand, require and expect as due by covenant promise) any thing in my name, I will do it.”

John 16:23-24

23 “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall aiteo/ask (demand, require and expect as due by covenant promise) the Father in my name, he will give it you.

24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: aiteo/ask (demand, require and expect as due by covenant promise), and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

But if there is even one answer, then your beliefs are a fallen house of cards. As to the book of Acts, those events are being repeated and superseded daily around the world today. They baffle and open the minds of honest investigators, and, as for dishonest investigators, they are to be avoided at all costs.

All it takes is one answered prayer to knock down the entire cessationist house of cards. And the evidence is overwhelming that God is still doing what He did in Acts, and even more. So the only position you are left with Jake, is the same that an atheist has. They call all contrary information as invalid because they cannot stand a different answer. So no amount of evidence will persuade you.

Christian cessationists fit a special caliber in the Bible. They are people who claim the Book, but deny the power of God. This makes the heart hard and Jesus described answering you this way:

Luke 16:28-31 Jesus told that the rich man said:

28 “For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”

What Jesus is saying is that because the Christian cessationists claim to see, they remain in their sin, and the only thing to cleanse them is to believe the Word of God. This is what happened to the Southern Baptists. They saw the miracles, signs and wonders, and could not refute the Scriptures. But they did for some 250 years.

For these kinds of cessationists, not even seeing someone risen from the dead will convince them, until they are first humbled and enlightened by the Scriptures. This is why Jesus called them “full of dead men’s bones” and “a generation of vipers, and “your father is the devil.” That phrase “your father is the devil” is not their spiritual heritage, but rather the source of their current thinking.

These same kinds of people saw Jesus heal thousands a day and managed to deny it was God doing the miracles. So the common cessationist message is that all miracles are of the devil. They have more faith in a cruel and merciless devil than a loving God. That is twisted!

2 Thess 2:9 “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.”

That whole thing about Satan’s imitation miracles of God means that first you have to have miracles of God in the present day for the devil to imitate. So that right there debunks the whole cessationist deal. You can only counterfeit what is the real. So in order for Satan to counterfeit the real, the real must be going on at the same time as the counterfeits are. Else they are just Satan’s miracles and not counterfeits. And that means God is still doing miracles today.

Some cessationists claim that miracles in Jesus will arise as the return of the Lord is near. That is amazing, since reports of active supernatural and biblical Christianity are all growing over the world, if they are fighting the presence of miracles, they are fighting God.

And how about 1 Cor 12:31 and 14:1, where you are commanded to covet, desire eagerly, make it your life passion, to do the Holy Spirit miracle gifts, all of them?

1 Cor 12:31 “But covet earnestly (desire passionately) the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.”

1 Cor 14:1 “Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.”

Since those chapters cannot be repealed, being a cessationist means you are not a full Bible believer. You are just like a Jehovah’s Witness or a Mormon or even a Moslem, or for that matter, a traditional Jew who says the Messiah has yet to come, where you select only certain parts of the Bible, and remove the rest. That means as far as I am concerned, since you are at best only a partial Bible believer, you can make no valid claims about the Bible. Everything you say is corrupt, and that includes your beloved MacArthur.

As long as Holy Spirit is on the earth and in the Church, then 1 Cor 12 and 14, not to mention Mark 16:14-20, and Matt 28:18-20 (where Jesus specifically told them to teach others to do ALL Jesus taught them and that includes Holy Spirit miracles, but they are for those who will believe the full Bible). You cannot be a valid missionary if you do not include all Jesus taught, including how to work miracles.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Amen.”

Matt 28:18-20

18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

And that includes answers to prayer. And if any prayer is ever answered today, then all the Bible promises are ours because God is no respecter of persons. Do the right things in God and you will get the right results of God. Go your own way, and nothing happening with God is the promised result. So your cessationist views are guaranteed to produce no miracle results. Thus you are a self-fulfilling prophet of defeat, despair, and lies. You sound like the pontificating braggarts who said man could never fly.

This puts you in this category that Jesus described: Mark 12:24 “And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the dunamis/power of God?” But you do know the lies of a bitter man seeking and finding bitter people to spout his bitter despair.

You may think you know the Scriptures, but until you know the dunamis miracle power of God, you are in biblical error. And that miracle power is Holy Spirit in action through humans. It is what and who Holy Spirit is. He is the power of God. And if Holy Spirit is present, all the power of God is present and can be released by faith mixed with the promises of God for those who will.

Jesus commanded that we are to demonstrate the same gospel He preached to all the nations. It is obvious that today, there remains large groups in the world who do not have a full and valid preaching of the gospel. The are still some who in no way could be considered as having or allowing a Christian witness. Since Jesus commanded the apostles do preach with the working of miracles, and the job is still not done of making disciples of the nations, then the miracles are still for today until all new converts walk in Mark 16:15-20.

When Jesus was asked how ordinary men could work miracles, here is what the Gospel of John records:

John 6:28 “Then said they unto him (Jesus), What shall we do, that we might work the dunamis/works (miracles) of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”

Since you and John MacArthur do not do the miracle works of God, then you do not do whatever that word “believe” means, because believers in Jesus do miracle works, and this was Jesus describing how to do it. Whatever kind of “believing” you are doing, it is not the same as Jesus is describing, because Jesus did Holy Spirit powered miracles, and those that believe rightly on Him do Holy Spirit powered miracles. Since I see Holy Spirit do miracles through me, I must be doing a better job of believing than those who do not see miracles. So you must not be believing on Jesus rightly. So your beliefs are corrupt.

When Jesus saw the depth of the need, and the religious leaders could not get the people supernaturally healed, Jesus appointed 12 and then 70 more to go heal. That means at one time there were 83 (Jesus + 12+70) working miracles, not to mention the one the disciples tried to stop who was working miracles in the name of Jesus, but did not follow them. That is at least 84 people working miracles of God, doing what Jesus wanted.

Here is what happened. Mark 9:38-40

38 “And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

40 For he that is not against us is on our part.”

And for a similar case: Luke 9:50 “And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.”

Notice Jesus said that anyone who does miracles in His name in on Jesus’ part. So if I today work miracles in the name of Jesus, which I do, Jesus says I am doing what He wants. So if you want praise of Jesus, go work some demon-casting-out miracles in the name of Jesus. Now this statement is never repealed in the entire Bible. So it still stands as a way to please God today.

And the corollary is also true, if you are trying to stop people from working miracles in the name of Jesus, you are not a friend, but an enemy of Jesus. That is another sad job description for you, Jake.

Since Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever, He still wants people healing others in the name of Jesus. If you want to please Jesus, then get the right teaching as they were told in Matt 28:20 to give, so you can do what God created you to do. Since you like dealing in absolutes, until you do, and are seeking to do, then you are a hater of Jesus. That is another sad job description for you, Jake.

Amen.”

John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

If you do not love Jesus, you are hating Him. Digital Universe.

If a man will not work miracles, but only trust in the hand of man, or as we call it today, science, he is not a lover of God.

Matt 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Jesus did not avoid the religious leaders; they just would not answer His call, just like you and John MacArthur. Jesus summarily dismissed you as “not shepherds,” those who have a seat, but do not do your God-assigned jobs. Jesus loves people still, and people still can see His hand in power, but not you and your “non-shepherd.” So Jesus has called a lot more than the 83, and we are all over the earth doing the works of Jesus, while you watch people suffer with no godly action on your part. Jesus calls this a hard heart.

Since you apparently will not help in the midnight calls of distress, know that if you call me in your distress, I will pray, and God, who makes the sun to rise every day in the clockwork of the stars, just like He does in the laws of prayer, will move in you for your blessing also. And I really won’t care if you acknowledge God did it or not, if at no other time, Judgment Day will be the time you will hear, but that will be at your expense. So if you really need help, please send me an email so I can take it as a prayer request. Even though I despise the cruel lies you assert, that will not stop the love of God in Holy Spirit from healing you with my prayers.

Here are some facts: If Jesus spent 3-6 hours a day, 1-4 all nights a week, and often arose early in the morning for Scripture prayer, and Peter, James, Paul and other disciples did the same, and all taught their disciples to do the same, along with 1-6 hours a day in Holy Spirit tongues, why not you? So if you wonder where your answers from God are, now you know.

If you did not spend the time and  “Jesus-effort” before the battle, do not be surprised if you have to spend it in the battle to get victory. Otherwise learn to accept defeat, and like the cessationists, blame it on something else rather than your lack of diligence.

34 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons (shows no partiality of one over another):

35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”

This means that all those you think are closer to God than you are did not get there by the special finger or choosing of God, but did it by doing more of the right things of God than you did. And that includes Jesus and all the apostles in the Bible. Jesus came as a man and emptied Himself of deity. So He removed from Himself everything that you do not have, so He could do it like you can do it.

A Bible not devoured is like bags of seed stored away. The potential of God into the earth is there, but rarely a harvest is made. Jesus is the Seed. The only soil that matters is your heart.

The truly difficult thing is the consequences of not managing your thought life.

Faith Healing Miracle Testimony with Methods of Dominion Right On Time Part 2

Faith Healing Miracle Testimony with Methods of Dominion:

Part 2

Key to Miracle Prayer

Key to Miracle Prayer

This is Part 2 of the healing testimony and is describing the methods used.

Luke 10:17-19 “And the seventy returned again with joy saying, ‘Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through Thy name.’ And He said, ‘I beheld Satan and lightning fall from heaven.’ Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and all of the power of the enemy.”

Now that first word “power” there is the Greek word that means authority. “I give you authority to tread over all of the power of the enemy.” That second word, power, is the Greek word that means ability. “I give you authority over all of the enemy’s ability.” If you have ability over the enemy, that means you have to fight with him. You have to deal with him. Physically, basically, you have to fight with him. But if you have authority, you say, “No. Stop it.” And that stops his ability. If you have authority over his works, that means you can destroy and heal those works back to the will of God in the name of Jesus. You see, by Jesus you have authority over the devil and his works to destroy them.

Authority speaks. Ability has to fight. It has to wrestle. But authority speaks, and it has to be done. A cop does not have to come up and grab you. A cop says, “Stop.” He puts his hand up in front of your car, and you stop. Why? Because he has authority. He doesn’t have to come by your car window, and as you drive past, and he has to grab you by the throat or something, and make you stop. If he does, you are a rebel. You’re a criminal.

Authority is the right to do something and assume the power to enforce that assignment. I may have a gun, but I as a civilian don’t have authority to shoot people, or hunt out of season, or off of game lands. The devil has ability, but he has no authority. If a policeman gives a command, and it is not followed, then he calls in more aggressive strength to enforce his words. We do the same when, if on the first command the demon or sickness does not move, we go into aggressive “artillery or combat or SWAT mode,” where we hit it with commands again and again, and “go after it,” with continued faith actions until it obeys and the person is healed. Not reacting aggressively if the demon ignores your first commands, means you are not exercising authority.

Luke 11:14

14 And he (Jesus) was casting out (driving out with multiple words, in the process of ejecting) a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass (over time), when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.”

Here we see Jesus casting out a demon that causes dumbness, not able to speak. Jesus was exercising authority expecting God to enforce His words, and “it came to pass,” God did by Holy Spirit. This is the same Holy Spirit that dwells in the born-again-in-Jesus Christian. In this case the demon did not go out with just one word, it took a process. If Jesus had to use a process, so can we.

We never look at the size of the problem because Holy Spirit, the Greater One, dwells within us. There is no power in the Universe that is a match for Him. The devil will try to get you to focus on you and/or the problem and off of God. Your job is to get strong in the strength of the Lord for your ministry efforts.

Godly authority enforces the will of God. Authority speaks; believing speaks; if you are believing, you will be speaking with authority.

2 Cor 4:13

13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I logos/spoken (commands, direction, instruction); we also believe, and therefore logos/speak (commands, direction, instruction).”

Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Authority and Faith for God. To release authority or faith, you must speak the words of God with authority. These words release Holy Spirit and apply Him to the situation. We call these commands, directions, and instructions on what to do. We are not speaking directly to God; we are speaking directly to the situation, the mountain, the problem, and expecting God to empower our words. Faith speaks. No speaking in authority means no faith. Little speaking in authority means little believing. Much great speaking in authority means great faith or great believing. If there are no faith actions, there is no faith. To be active in faith means to be active in speaking authority for God. This is seen in aiteo commands as Jesus taught, and we will get into that later.]

Please let me know if you find this useful. Or have any improvement suggestions.

If you find it useful, please feel free to pass it on to others.

Faith Healing Miracle Testimony with Methods of Dominion Right On Time: Part 1

Every man knows he is to worship God. But they don’t want to do that, so they worship something else. But the urge to worship is created in man. But the urge to have dominion is also in man, but he tries to exercise it through fallen-nature means, rather than through means and methods that God has provided as a born again person.

What position does a son of God occupy? It is a position of dominion. It is a position of authority for God.

Here is one example as I prayed over an email prayer request for a suffering and tormented little boy. I had just spoken by phone with this mother the day before, and she did not mention any of this. The email prayer request came earlier in the day, but I saw it just as I was going to bed. I sent an email right after I spoke over the situation as God would speak. “The pain and thrashing would go, the infections die and go, all the other infirmities would die and go, they would bow at the name of Jesus and obey; this boy will be healed and become normal in every way, then I commanded, RECEIVE, in the name of Jesus,” to release Holy Spirit into them.

I asked the mother to email me again to let me know what happened. In the morning I got an email that said, “I could tell when you prayed. Everything stopped shortly after you sent your email last night, telling me you had just spoken over this thing. This morning he started thrashing about again, but it stopped after I prayed once. Please keep speaking life.”

Here is my response:

I am glad we have proved the word of God is true. To put some helpful images in your mind because you are in the thick of it and can respond first. It takes effort, but you can step out of yourself in sympathy of poor suffering boy and poor suffering mom and this will never end, into compassion which demands the devil go.

It is kind of like I saw in a movie the other day, where a woman in hysterics shot and killed several wolves attacking her and her baby, which was a version of a true story. She knew she had to calm down and aim straight, and not just shoot in the direction of the wolves, but right at each one to kill it, while it charged at her. She overcame her fear because of love for her baby. She was the only difference between life and death at that moment, and she had to do her job, and she did. She killed 3 or 4 with her 6 gun, and had some shots to spare if they came back.

If a fearful mother can do it with a gun, we can do it with the name of Jesus, because it is not about our perfection, but His; it is not about our holiness, but His; it is not about our power, but His; it is not about our words, but His; it is not about our name, but His: it is not about our authority, but His. So if you can squirt bug spray on a bug, believing in the strength of the spray; you can put the name of Jesus on a symptom and everything behind it, and demand that demon go in a holy rage of determination (not fear) to go, and it will. A bullet comes out of gun with force, and so can the name of Jesus. Jesus can then make it happen because of your right words and attitude. Kind of like scrubbing a spot on the stove top, that refuses to move, but you keep at it with force, and it will go. Or, Get fed up enough to aim and fire as many times as needed.

Even as I was speaking over them that night, I kept getting sympathy images that I turned into compassion and being fed up enough that this devil had to go. I turned away from the mother and her child’s suffering to hating the torment of the devil, and exercised dominion over that thing in the name of Jesus. After I was done, I prayed in tongues a few minutes, and then headed to bed.

When I read the email the next morning, I repeated what I had done the night before, but a little more firmly or angry that it had come back, with the attitude of, “This stops now; so devil, you and your works go now, never to return, in the name of Jesus.” I had to rise up in my mind from, “Oh no,” to “Will God help?” to “This is enough, devil you go, now, in the name of Jesus.”

Before first I prayed, I was a bit overwhelmed with the situation. So my first action before praying was to say to myself something like this, to fill my immediate self with the presence of Holy Spirit to power the dominion of Jesus through me, over this situation. “You are supposed to do this; you are a Christian, anointed and called to do this. God has equipped you, you are ready to do it, and you should be doing it. God backs His word on my lips; He is my power, I am speaking for Him and He will do His word for He cannot lie. Believing is a verb so I say, thank You, Lord, this was healed by the stripes of Jesus 2000 years ago, and is waiting to manifest right now, so it will manifest now to Your joy Father. Thank You, Father for empowering Your word. Amen. I can act my way into believing quicker than I can believe my way into acting, so I will be the man of God I am made to be. Now devil, I take authority over you in the name of Jesus, and you will hear and obey the voice of the word of God on my lips, now Go, and this healing Be, in the name of Jesus. ”

Now you maybe would have done it differently, but I did not know I could call on you at midnight.

The above shows some of the methods I used. So what were my exact words in the prayer? They were something like this:

“Greater are You, Holy Spirit, that is in me than any demon work. This is nothing to You, or Your great power Holy Spirit. Father, I thank You that this is done in the stripes, blood and resurrection of Jesus, when Jesus bore this by His stripes, and when You, Father, had Holy Spirit raise Jesus from the dead. It is already done, Thank You. Father, You are in me by Holy Spirit to set ___ free now. ___, you are free NOW, in the name of Jesus. So devil, you hear and obey the voice of the word of God through me. I break your power over _________, and I command you devil, and all your works to get off of _____ right now, never to return, in the name of Jesus! The pain and thrashing will go, the infections die and go, autism and all the other infirmities will die and go, they all will bow at the name of Jesus and obey. Devils, go and never return; body, be whole; mind, be right; life of God, set ____ free. (Then I commanded a little more firmly:) RECIEVE in the name of Jesus! He will be healed and fully normal and a blessing in the house. Thank You, Father for doing Your word. Amen!” If I remember correctly, I then placed my fingers on the monitor with the email request and commanded life once again as a point of contact.

Next I did what John Lake said, “Now that we have prayed, let’s just believe the Lord for a few minutes.” This would include the faith actions of exuberant thanksgiving, calling those things that be not as if they are of the healing, along with praise and some rejoicing shouts. Then I spoke in tongues for a minute or so, as I headed to bed. I left with the attitude of, “OK, God, I put You on him, thank You, for doing ‘Your thing.’ Amen, it is done.”

Why did it come back in the morning? I don’t know. But what I do know is the temptation in the child came back, and this time the mother, knowing my speaking had worked the night before, took courage, and spoke to cast out the demons again. “Was it the same demon(s)?” No, I think it was a new one(s), but it knew what the others had done, so they copycatted the previous symptoms. It is not unusual for the symptoms to try to return, so be ready to exercise the authority of Jesus to exert dominion over the devil again and again. Sometimes this is just like cleaning a house. It is not the same dirt, but it is still dirt and it has to go out anyway.

I then repeated the faith actions and prayed in tongues for a few minutes. I did not touch the monitor with the email on it. I have no problem repeating this to add more zoe life until the report is that it is gone.

What do I do in the meantime, until full victory? Then I added them to my daily prayer list and command life into the child and then entire family. I told the mother to put her hands on the child, and command zoe life every time she touches the child. (This is a good practice whether they are sick or not.)

Healing is a process over time. Miracles are relatively instant. So until the healing or miracle is complete, putting zoe life into them helps the healing process and nurtures the word of God in them. The other is to obey Phil 4:4-9 whenever they have a concern that the healing is not yet done. That means to give thanks, calling those things that be not as if they are, for what is not yet manifest of God’s promises and reports. This can include regular affirmations such as, “Shut up devil, in the name of Jesus; this does work, ___ prayed, zoe life is moving and this devil will go, these lies will be destroyed. ____ is healed and walks free. I will keep working until it works. Thank You, Father; I will see this victory, in the name of Jesus.” Repeat whenever troubled that it is not working, or seems to be going slowly. This is how you do faith actions BEFORE and UNTIL the answer is completely manifest.

We were healed by the stripes of Jesus 2000 years ago (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24), but we continually need to reaffirm and enforce that report of the Lord over the report of present symptoms. When I proclaim Jesus is Lord, then these symptoms will go and life will be restored in full healing. Keep repeating until done. Do you have a better use for your mouth?

This is a method of pure dominion speaking of zoe life in the authority of Jesus. It was not reading about the authority of the believer, the name of Jesus and the work of the stripes of Jesus, but applying them to a situation until the devil bows and goes. Study without action is deception; study with action is the Kingdom of God manifesting in power. Sometimes I may use just one word, such as, “Be healed,” or “Freedom”  or “Jesus.” For shorter words, my intention is the content of the longer word. That night I used a longer word.

See Part 2 for the rest of this post.
