Death In The Tongue Leads To Witchcraft – Are You A Player?

Negative words enjoyed in "innonence."

Gossip: Negative words of perversion enjoyed in “innocence.”

Prov 18:20 “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

Both death and life are spiritual forces in the Bible. Notice where they are found, in the tongue. So heaven and hell are as close as your tongue.

James tells us the tongue is the source of blessing and curse, life and death, and the only thing to activate the blessing or curse is what comes out of our mouths. He is not talking about spells and incantations, but common conversation and the content and attitude of the words. See if you can spot this in this passage.

James 3:8-16

8 “But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

10 “Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

13 “Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15 “This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”

Notice how Holy Spirit sums it up for us in the last word in verse 15, “devilish” or of demons. So here we see the warning that we are allowing demons to use our mouths, and in verse 14, we are told the source of the problem is corruption in the hearts of Christians.

So James is not talking about black hat, boiling cauldrons and spells to release demonic activity among people. but simple words spoken from a corrupt heart. And in general, the practice of releasing demons on people is called, witchcraft. It could be from cruel words that scar a child for life to sending demons to give someone cancer, or to kill them. All are the territory of witchcraft.

Witchcraft is using a source other than God to manipulate and control people and their behavior, usually in a negative manner. As described in James, it may be intentional or unintentional. But the effect is the same, the person is invoking demons to do their evil work.

It does not seem to matter if the perpetrator is aware what they are doing or not, just the works themselves are sufficient to invoke the demons. And James makes the point that the primary tool is the mouth of his audience, which is primarily Christians. So yes, James is accusing his Christian audience of working witchcraft, not directly, but by implication. But James is directly saying that his audience is releasing demons, cursing people, on a regular basis and apparently unaware of the full implications of what they are doing.

Most people will shrug off their corrupt mouth as either justified or from a bad day. James nails it to a corrupt heart that allows those thoughts to come out in corrupt words. Few will say, “I was talking for and feeling like a devil when I said that.” Or if they do, the usually do not call it sin, just a “fault of insignificance.”

I would contend that in 4000 years of assembling the Bible, and so much on this topic, then to Holy Spirit it is significant and calling it minor is simply allowing more work for the devil.

Jennifer LeClaire wrote a nice article on this here. She reviews the scripture with the assertion that many Christians are practicing witchcraft in the sense that they are using their tongues to invoke demons on people in a manner similar to that described by James.

There were several comments to her article, but I found most were trying to get off the subject of letting the devil use our tongues because we have corruption in our hearts. So here is my comment.

In the ancient world of biblical times, as in much of the current third world, no one ever believed that any thought, word or action is independent of a spiritual source. Quite the opposite, they recognized that every thought, word or action is from and in agreement with a spiritual source, and we are accountable for what source we let manifest through us.

And at the high level there are only two sources: God and the devil.

Trying to separate spiritual sources in biblical text or word meanings, as all the writers understood that everything was in contact or relationship with a spirit, is to generally miss the point. All sin, unrighteousness, is of the devil and God cannot sin and has no sin, no mixture, but we humans can be full of mixture. And mixture means thoughts, words and actions inspired by a mixture of God or the devil.

Thoughts lead to words and actions, and we will be judged for every word and action on the Day of Judgment.

Matt 16:27 “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”

Matt 12:36 “But I (Jesus) say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

To the ancients all thoughts, words and/or actions involved invoking a spirit being. And there was no thought, word or action that did not invoke a spiritual being. This kind of world view is very opposite of a modern western world view where you can have one of three positions – a) with God, b) with the devil, and c) neutral or “not so bad or good.”  Yet this is the basis for most modern exegesis or explaining Bible passages and word meanings.

Since all thoughts, words and actions have a spiritual source and connection, whether you operate with Moloch or Baal or Mammon, you are still separated from God and therefore united to the devil. And this is on a thought by thought basis.

So you do not need a black hat, boiling pot, snakes tails, incense and weird music to cast witchcraft spells, i.e., invoke the devil to cause trouble, just a foul mouth. and a bad or arrogant attitude. And that is part of the point Jennifer is making in her article.

And yes, we wrote a book on how to get free of these bad mouth attitudes. It is called “OK, GOD, Now What” and we show how to deal with what modern science is proving, that every action that is habit or repeated, is in the subconscious mind, and the most efficient path to right thoughts, words and actions is to include subconscious mind or heart-centered approaches.

And we also show how the biblical lifestyle is one that uses many such mind renewing approaches. So science is proving what God as always said. We show the science and the scriptures, and give tools to start the process in the most efficient manner possible. And the result will be a life with far less sin, or rebellion or witchcraft, and more of Christ manifested.

Or have you noticed why telling people to stop sinning generally has little success? And even if they agree they need to stop sinning? But do it right by the way the mind works and God has always commanded, and the results are awesome.

God is no respecter of persons. His ways apply to all, all the time. If you do not see God move, the problem is not on the “God” end.

We are destroyed, walk in failure, fear and confusion, by lack of knowledge and lies, not some administrative decision by God.

God is no respecter of persons. Do the right things and you will get the right results; do anything different and you will be unhappy sooner or later. Digital Universe.

Evil works inspired and powered by the devil are no match for the Living God, but they sure tempt fleshly leaky neurons, even in those spiritually righteous.

There are no wrong answers here, only seek more of Jesus who already paid for every failure we ever made, are now making, or will make. Since He was healed of it, so are you.

It will be shameful for you to show up on the Day of Judgment and see that every hardness of heart was already healed and waiting for you to do the right labour to get that hardness of heart healing already done in Jesus.

A Bible not devoured is like bags of seed stored away. The potential of God into the Earth is there, but never a harvest is made. Jesus is the Seed. The only soil that matters is your heart.

Prayer Points After Boston Marathon Terrorist Attack – For Any Terrorist Attack

American Flag

These prayer points or topics fit any disaster or sadness in any part of the world. Today they apply to America and the terrorist attack at the 2013 Boston Marathon.

+Pray for the people and their families hurt in the – Boston Marathon terrorist attack (or any other similar event). Pray that they be comforted in Jesus and turn to God and not to anger against or accuse God.

+Pray that friends and neighbors would show the love of God to them, and especially with help for all the medical bills, life trauma and loss of income.

+Pray that Christians would go to them and heal their bodies and minds, and restore their limbs as Jesus commanded.

+Pray that their testimonies of divine healing be known so that the wicked will know that God is our Helper and our Healer.

+Pray that God give the investigators wisdom and knowledge to find who, why and where these people who did this and to apprehend them without further loss of life.

+Pray that those who did this terrible attack be blinded to further cooperation for hiding and doing more crime, that their work be thrown into confusion so that they can no longer work together, that their money and friends dry up, and that God send his hornets of the fear of the Lord to stop them from more evil, to turn themselves in, and to make restitution to all.

+Pray that all those who rejoiced in this attack repent and turn to God to walk as true peace makers of God in the salvation of Jesus.

+Pray that Jesus be exalted as Lord in the middle of all this terror so the devil does not dominate in terror, panic and irrational fear.

+Pray that America:

  •  See we need God enough to turn from our wicked ways.
  • That all Christians see their part in this from a lack of holiness and not continually seeking the Lord.
  • That God’s people, Christians’s and Jew, repent and turn ever more to the Lord.
  • That God’s preachers preach and demonstrate in power the gospel of reconciliation in Jesus (1 Cor 2:5).
  • And ask for mercy for the prophets of God who did not see and warn of this specific attack in advance so it could have been prevented.
  • That people do not get despondent or hopeless, rather they commit themselves to seeking and trusting God more.

What other things should we be praying right now?

+Pray that those who God warned before this attack take heed so they can learn to hear Him when He speaks.

+Pray that those who saw these criminals before the attack would have prayed and intervened and not just shrugged off the warnings of God.

+Pray that the Body of Christ would rise up with Holy Spirit gifts so that the police go to them and not the psychics to help in crime investigation.

+Pray that God’s Daniel Warriors and Seers would make themselves available to the investigators as the psychics are now doing.

+Pray that whenever two or more gather we pray 1 Tim 2:2-6:

1 Tim 2:2 “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”

From Cindy Jacobs:

Pray for the exposure of any other possible bomb threats and/or terrorist attacks.

Pray that the Lord to give wisdom to the authorities as they take security measures to ensure the safety and protection of their cities. (Luke 12:2)

Pray for America. Ask the Lord for mercy on our nation and for Him to guard our nation with His mercy, peace and security. Declare that the hand of the enemy cannot touch this land! (Psalm 91)

Here is Dan 9:3-19 modified for our land now.

3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplication, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: 4 and I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, Father, I come to You in the name and blood of Jesus, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; 5 we have sinned, and have committed iniquity (made money, pleasure, safety, the arm of man, apathy, indifference, entertainment and Mammon our strength and hope), and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: 6 neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of our land, and to the inhabitants of our capital city – Washington DC, and unto all our people everywhere, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast sent them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee and been ignorant of Your laws and ways, readers and not doers of Your words. 8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, elected and appointed leaders, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

9 To You, O Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against You; 10 neither have we obeyed Your voice, the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in Your laws, which You set before us byYour servants the prophets. 11 Yea, all of us have transgressed thy law and fallen short of Your glory in Jesus, O’ God, even by departing, that we might not obey thy voice by seeking to walk just like Jesus in all things; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God and in Galatians 6 where You say:

Gal 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

… 13 As it is written that we will reap what we have sown to the flesh and not the Spirit: yet made we not our prayer before You, the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth in Jesus Christ. 14 Therefore hath You, the Lord, watched upon the evil, and could not stop it from coming upon us: for ou, the Lord our God, are righteous in all Your works which You doeth: for we obeyed not Your voice.

15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, that raised Jesus from the dead and raised us up with Jesus in spite of our sins and given us redemption in His blood, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let the devil’s anger and …fury be turned away from us: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, this land and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant who is a son by the new creation in Jesus, and my supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate in our hard hearts toward You, for the Lord’s sake. 18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the people which is called by thy name, Christians: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies in Jesus. 19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, You have forgiven us in the mighty work of Jesus, so release Your healing into Your people and this land; send Your healing word, embolden Your preachers and make the workers wise and willing; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for this country and for thy people who are called by thy name.

And Acts 4:24-31

Acts 4:24 “…they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: 25 who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? 26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. 27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, 28 for to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings, rejection, mockery, ridicule, false humility, lies and terrors: and grant unto thy servants who are Your sons, that with all boldness we may speak thy word, 30 by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

Now, Father, in the name of Jesus, shake this people to repentance and boldness in righteousness, peace, joy, power, love and sound mind in Holy Spirit so that we are all filled with the Holy Ghost, and we speak the word of God of Your grace in Jesus with boldness. So Father, in the name of Jesus, I say, devil, get your hands off God’s people, I break the yoke of offense, forgiveness and bitterness toward God and command it to go in the name of Jesus, and I command our inner man, created in righteousness and true holiness, to rise up and seek the Lord until we come to Him again, in the name of Jesus.

And Mark 16:15-20

And Father that we heed and obey the command of Jesus:

Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

And Father, get us to obey these commands:

1 Cor 12:31 “But covet earnestly the best gifts [of Holy Spirit including words of wisdom, words of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, working or miracles; prophecy, discerning of spirits, diverse tongues and interpretation of tongues]: and [use them to walk in] the more excellent way of agape/love.”

1 Cor 14:1 “Follow after charity, and desire (with faithfulness and intensity) spiritual gifts [as listed in 1 Cor 12], but rather (especially) that ye may prophesy.”

And Father get us to stir ourselves up into You, that we go forth, and preach everywhere, so that the Lord can work with us, and confirm the word of grace in truth, love, reconciliation, redemption, remission, gift of righteousness, sanctification, adoption, betrothal, access and mercy with signs following.  So that we preach through mighty signs and wonders that only You can do.  Amen.

God is no respecter of persons. His ways apply to all, all the time. If you do not see God move, the problem is not on the “God” end. But rest assured the devil will try to get you to blame God.

On Faith and Christian Authority – Word of Faith (WOF) Approaches

Working the Word ot Make It Work

Working The Word ot Make It Work

I think Roger Sapp has identified some of the areas where faith teaching has lost focus.

See: for what prompted this comment:

Our faith is in God by His word. It is not faith in your faith. I have learned many times as I enter battle to ask the Lord to be my strength and to see me through to His glory, and He has been very faithful. So I depend on God to keep me in faith in faith battles.

Ex 15:2 “The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God ….”

1 Chron 16:11 ”Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. 12 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth.”

Ps 18:2 “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. 3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.”

The other point is authority. Jesus has ALL authority in Heaven and in Earth.

Matt 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All exousia/power (authority, commission and the resources of Heaven) is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

And this authority of Jesus is so extreme, so complete that everything in all of what we call Creation must bow at the name of Jesus and must confess with their tongue that Jesus is Lord. It is not a matter of if; it is a matter of when.

Phil 2:8 “And (Jesus) being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

So technically it is all Jesus’ authority and you have none of your own. But in the effort to help people understand the teaching has gotten off to “my” authority as a Christian representing Christ. Since all things were created by Jesus for Jesus, anything outside of the will of God can be subdued by faith in the name of Jesus to re-establish the dominion of God, or the Kingdom of God, in that situation.

So even if you sin, Satan’s attack is illegal. If you are ignorant of the realities of redemption, Satan’s attack is illegal. You cannot leave a door open for the devil and then it be legal in the Court of God for the devil to afflict you in any way. You do not have the authority to authorize the devil in anything, but to leave and restore destructions as Jesus demonstrated in the Gospels.

I was an officer in the military. I had authority, but when I saw men twice my age obey me, I had no delusions in my authority. Or hundreds obey me at my command. It was in my rank, my job and by the government. I knew it and they knew it. To properly exercise that authority I had to stay within the bounds of what the government required of me. And above all I had to have the backing of my superior officers. Using the authority of Jesus is no different.

As a result of these extreme views we have people worried about their faith and their authority. Our answer is in God by His word, the ways He has revealed, not our faith. When you make that transition, a lot of issues go away.

Many make faith harder than it is. We humans operate by faith all the time. Faith is the absolute assurance of the joyful expectation of coming good. So a young child gets excited when Daddy is coming home. That is faith.

As the child gets older they may need inducements, such as, “When Daddy gets here he will play ball with you,” or “Daddy will have a treat for you.” The child is still excited and cannot wait for Daddy to get there.

You walk into an office and sit down on the chair. You did not examine the chair to see if it was strong enough. You just sat down. That is faith. We operate in this kind of faith all the time. The issue is, “Whose word will you believe, God or circumstances or the doctor or your bank balance or CNN?” Whose report will you believe?

As a human you are operating all the time on one report or another. Faith is unique in that it is the joyful expectation of coming good. Faith in God is joyful expectation of coming good from God by His Word. Doubt is when you are no longer joyful and stop doing supporting faith actions. Doubt is the devil’s, or the world’s, efforts to get you to believe a different word, and then act per that new word. This is a temptation to do the works of doubt.

You only have two choices, faith or fear. What you actually do determines who or what your faith is in. So to doubt God means you no longer do the supporting faith actions of Scripture confession, aiteo, praise, thanksgiving and joy. Instead you either put your trust elsewhere, such as in the doctor, or in anything or anyone other than God, and then do actions per your new word you are believing.

Or you go into dread or fear that evil is coming on you, and there is no help or little help in God. So then you do actions consistent with your evil fear. To get out of doubt’s temptation you re-affirm the Word of God, the Scriptures you are believing, and then do faith actions while your mind, and even other people, tempt you to stop.

This is summarized in:

Isa 53:1 “Who hath believed our report (of God’s great work in Jesus)?”

Doing this in the face of internal fears and pressures and outer evil realities is part of the fight of faith.

1 Tim 6:11 “But thou, O man (or woman) of God, flee these things; and follow (embrace and pursue with vigor) after righteousness, godliness, faith, agape/love, patience (glad and diligent consistency), meekness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lambano/lay hold on eternal zoe/life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

If you do faint, if you do doubt, start again. Find the Scriptures that fit your need, renew your mind on truth, put on your “game face” of actually doing aiteo, thanksgiving, praise, joy, etc. and get going again. Follow the path described in Phil 4:4-9.

We are promised that the devil will attack any word of God you are attempting to believe. See this in the Parable of the Sower and the Seed in Matt 13, Mark 4 and Luke 8. So the essence of faith in God by His Word is will you continue to do the works of faith in affirmation, aiteo, communion/Lord’s Supper, thanksgiving, praise and rejoicing?

What you are counting on is what you have faith in, and what you are counting on will be evidenced by your words and actions all day long. A few faith actions in church that are not continued all day long, every day, is not biblical hope, much less biblical faith. What you believe is what you do consistently. It is what you do when no one is around and the fear of failure attacks. What you do next demonstrates who you are really counting on.

Now I will get a bit “spooky.” The seraphim that circle Father God and cry Holy, Holy, Holy are doing that, in part, because they are constantly seeing new aspects of God as they fly by. The Jews have an expression that each Bible verse has at least 70 valid interpretations. So we can all look to Jesus and focus on various aspects, be different, and not be wrong.

But to some it sounds like we are like the six blind men describing the trunk, the body, the tusks, the tail, the mouth and the legs of the elephant, but not able to see the elephant. Each one is convinced they have the real thing, and they do, but their perceptions are vastly different, yet not wrong. So if you find conflicting Scriptures, start by saying “and” and not “but” until you got more light.

What God tells us in the New Testament that will change us per His plan is to renew our minds on what we are already made in Christ. This is found in Rom 6, Rom 13, Eph 4 and Col 3. This means a constant mind renewing to change your self identity to what God did to you in the New Birth-New Creation.

The next step is found in:

2 Cor 3:17 “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [to be all God made you to be in Jesus]. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass (mirror) the glory of the Lord [in our own reflection of what we see of Jesus manifesting in us by faith], are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

So Holy Spirit will change you into as much as you see of Jesus in yourself. Jesus is the blueprint, and you and Holy Spirit are the construction crew.

We can look at many different aspects of Jesus, and as long as we see Jesus doing that in us, Holy Spirit will transform you into that image. And the first step starts with changing your self identity.

For example, righteousness does not just mean you are right, it is a characteristic. It means you now have the nature of God to do right. The real you, the spirit man, only wants to do right as Jesus did, and God wants done.

As the discussion on authority, or meditation of what Jesus has accomplished, here is another Scripture.

Philem 6 “That the communication (outworked manner of your life in Holy Spirit) of thy faith may become effectual [to bringing Heaven to Earth in power, agape/love and a sound mind] by the epignosis/acknowledging (by the awareness, learning and practicing until you are a master craftsman) of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus [by the new-birth, new creation in Christ].”

So if you want powerful faith start by meditating on what Jesus has done for you and what you now are and have in Him. Other topics are good, but this is the path I can defend with Scripture.

Unfortunately without the New Creation man as a basis, a person in their unique life gets to know Jesus; they develop an understanding and relationship that is unique. They come from a personal place and have a personal testimony, but not necessarily useful for others, and often it will not fit with Scripture. In fact, as one brother said, “I have let go, held on, rested, and worked to the point that all I am doing is spinning in circles and feel like a yo-yo.”

At some point you are no longer looking for a new revelation as you are wanting the revelation you have to be solid and manifest Jesus in your life.

I believe this is what Paul was saying:

Phil 3:7 “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Paul saw the revelation, and in verse 14 all he wants is to be that revelation.

Let us go back to the image of the seraphim in Heaven:

Isa 6:5 “Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. 6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.”

Notice the seraphim needed tongs to handle the live coal of the fire of God, yet Isaiah’s tounge could handle that fire of God just fine. The tongs were for the seraphim and not Isaiah! And Isaiah was not a born-again, new creation man. Yet Isaiah could handle the fire of God just fine and not be destroyed.

fire burning

In Jesus we are told:

1 John 4:17 “Herein is our agape/love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.”

In the new creation we are made as Jesus is now. Not the suffering servant on the cross, but the glorified Lord of all Creation, as He is NOW! All we need is to mature, “be made perfect” in agape love.

That fire of God burns in Jesus, and as we learn to walk in agape love, that fire is released from our spirit to invade our soul and the Earth. And that fire of God is meant to burn in us also. It is what we are made for in the new birth. Because we are made for it, just as we are made to walk in the authority of Jesus by using His name to do what He would do in His place with His desire.

“As he is now” means this is how you also look in the spirit:

Rev 1:13 ”And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 and his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.”

And that is why we are to renew our minds into the reality of our new creation in Jesus. One way to start on this is to highlight every passage in the New Testament with what you already have now in Jesus.

Philem 6 “That the communication (out-working of your life in Holy Spirit) of thy faith may become effectual (to bring Heaven to Earth in power life Jesus did) by the epignosis/acknowledging (awareness, study and doing until you are a master craftsman like Jesus) of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus [by the new birth that made you a new kind of creature with Holy Spirit dwelling within].”

I love Roger Sapp’s mediation cards and I have ordered them. So handy for renewing the mind when reading is better than listening to earphones, or when it is harder to pull out the Affirmations from OK, GOD, Now What? I just wish he had not put on the symbols of playing cards (heart, diamond, etc.) on them.

What are the best ways you have found to develop faith in the name of Jesus?

What results have you obtained to show you are on the right track?

God Bless you and yours in the name of Jesus to be more noble in Him (Acts 17:11-12)

Jesus is Lord of Heaven and Earth!

Breaking Free of Generational Curses

breaking chain iStock_000015306344XSmall

While there is much talk about this topic of generational curses, few seem to address some significant facts.

What are these “generational curses?” From the teaching I have heard it is believing that the miseries in our present life are due to curses invoked by previous generations. So there is deep searching to identify all the sins of our parents, grandparents, etc., to at least the 4th generation, if not the 2000th generation. Once these sins are identified, they then apply a series of remedies to “break the curses.”

There is a lot of activity, but significant results are few and far between.

This has created a cottage industry in previous generational analysis, books teaching this generational deception and supposedly getting free in week-long and week-end retreats and seminars.

It is very popular to blame others for the problems in our lives. Yet we are all promised to have troubles; it is how you respond to them that make the godly difference.

How to go over and list all their personal sins in their past up until now, is a wonder to me, much less my great grandmother’s. Not only that, but the cultural filters of our past means that we accept many sins as normal and right, and are not even aware of them. Add in the general scriptural illiteracy among Western Christians, and the task seems unprovable at best.

Remember the sins of lying, doubt, fear and unbelief have their part in the lake of fire and they usually do not have obvious outward expressions. Since these sins are just as deadly as murder and gluttony, who can keep a valid list? Yet this generational curse theology keeps being advertised as “the answer.”

Rev 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers (witchcraft), and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

There are generational problems and God has answers for us today that are biblical. First God addresses generational curses, or their misapplication that they are from God in Ezekiel 18.

Here are a few verses:

Ezek 18:1“The word of the Lord came unto me again, saying, 2 What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge? 3 As I live, saith the Lord God, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel. 4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”

To get the full measure of this please go and read the entire Chapter 18. This whole chapter debunks the recent teaching on generational curses. “The father’s sins have set the children’s teeth on edge,” is generational curses. Here the false claim is that the children, descendents, are suffering due to the curses of the sins of the fathers. God specifically says assigning your troubles to the sins of your fathers is misunderstanding God’s principles and does not apply.  God is not sending any generational curses.

I guess because the people of Israel has such trouble giving up generational curses and dealing with their own sin instead, God repeats the message in Ezek 33.

Jesus addressed generational curses by not assigning them.

John 9:2 “And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.”

Jesus said this birth defect was not the result of the sin of the man or his parents. So it was not a generational curse. Instead Jesus said that His job was to heal such and thereby be the light of the truth of God into the world.

In the Greek there is no period at the end of verse 4, this was added later. So it is just as accurate to read it this way, “…but that the works of God should be made manifest in him, 4 I must work the works of him that sent me….” Now Jesus is saying I found this problem and I must fix it to the will of God.

So there are no generational curses from God, and all attempts at generational curses are illegal before God. This is made clear in two major sections of the Bible, where people were complaining that the curse was coming on them due to the sins of their parents or ancestors.

Instead the message of the prophet is that there are generational blessings, where if they repented immediately of their own sins, they could break the curse here and now, yet they refused to acknowledge their own sins. And even if the current terrors came on others, they could live and prosper in the midst of them.

There are generational problems. There are cultures that have been in poverty for centuries. God is not doing this. If not God, how is the devil doing it? He does it by temporary and cultural sins. This is the process of making sin in any form an accepted part of your national heritage. The devil needs people to sin to keep his curses alive.

The same is true for us today. We may have inherited the cultural norms that allow and promote sin, but at any time we can repent and heal our land also.

2 Chron 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

That term “wicked ways” shows the heart of the problem. They had lost biblical truth and accepted as normal all kinds of sins, practices and attitudes. We call this “cultural sin.” This ranges from accepting a loss of gladness and joy in doing God’s commandments to keeping unforgiveness to idolatry.

For now in Jesus, your generation only goes to one generation in God. When you get born again, your generational line goes to one, God, then you, and there are no curses in His bloodline. Thus it is technically impossible for anyone to have a generational curse with God, but it is perfectly valid that you do have generational blessings to the same level Jesus has them.

But that is at the spiritual level and not at the soul level. You can command demons to be quiet, be bound and even to go, but you cannot immediately change the programing in a person’s heart, their “wicked ways.”

It is this evil or twisted mental programing that is the primary problem. If the mind is not renewed, the person will go back and do the same things again and again. And thus release demon-assignement curses again and again.

Casting out the demon to get mental relief and/or physical healing does not remove the mental programing. For that we are commanded to renew our minds into truth.

So the cure is at least three-fold:

1. Break the power of the devil and command them to go in the name of Jesus.

2. Engage in aggressive mind renewing into truth by seeking the Lord continually in the Scriptures to address the cultural and behavioral mind programing that leads to more sins.

3. Repeat above until freedom.

A curse is not a document in heaven. God cannot send curses as He already placed all the curses due us on Jesus. Instead it is a demon-assignment from:

a) Your own sin(s)

b) Other’s sin(s) [For example: if the captain of the ship runs it aground in a storm, similar to what happened to Paul in Acts 27-28, you will experience the effect of what he/she did. Life will be hard for you and the cure is to walk in Psalms 23 and 91, and bless the captain and all others until the situation gets better.]

c) Placed by witchcraft (amateur or professional)

The one that probably challenges most modern people is to think that sin is only personal. Thus item b) above is very strange to you. But if you were raised in a terrible home environment, you know exactly what that life can be like, under the curse of bad set of parents who curse you with abuse and evil programming. You did not pick your family, but you have to deal properly with whatever life throws at you.

In this ungodly family life you may be pressured by lots of demonic influences and active curses, and the answer is to work in authority with God in the name of Jesus, to get the demons quiet and then out.

Breaking a demon-assignment curse is very simple, and there are a few direct ways.

1)      Break the curse in the name of Jesus as all sins and curses are remitted by the blood of Jesus and healed in the stripes of Jesus.

2)      Take communion and judge that curse on Jesus and now you and all your household are healed by the stripes of Jesus.

3)      Confess you are a new creature in Christ Jesus and all things are new and no spiritual curse has any authority over you, and then aiteo command the devil to go in the name of Jesus.

NOTE: As with all things in God, if you are renewed in your mind like the early disciples, this may take only once or a few times, otherwise repeat while ingesting New Testament truth until freedom comes.

Now when you see symptoms you attribute to family or generational curses, or any other kind of curse, apply one of the three steps above. Here our goal is to get you free and moving in authority over the devil in the name of Jesus, because if you have been trained for a long time in the typical generational curse teaching, you have a lot of mind renewing to get done.

In  an era where we accept no personal responsibility for our lives, our families, our town and our country, this message takes some time in reprogramming.

You do not need to spend a lot of time in soul-searching and family history to define what is sin and sinful in your life, instead start attacking the devil with aiteo commands and ingesting truth.

So when you are aware of any symptoms, add to the three actions above prayers like this (words are not as important as your intent and that you know you are speaking for God),

“Devil, I break your power over me and my household. All curses I break now in the name of Jesus and devil, you and all your works go now, in the name of Jesus. I am in a new generation and I belong to God. So my life and all aspects of it, get like God wants, now, in the name of Jesus.”

Then start thanking the Lord per Phil 4:6-7. Repeat as necessary.

In this way you can attack any symptom or fear you attribute to a curse of any kind, generational or anything else. What you must know is that first, the curse of the law is greater than any human curse, and no curse is greater than the redemption we have in Jesus from any curse of the law.

Gal 3:13“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

After you have done this enough to believe by breaking out into instant thanksgiving when the topic comes up, consider the curses of others are broken in your life and now you have to deal with other issues. So instead of looking at generational curses, look first to your own sins or the impact of the sin of others on your life.

If your family was involved in any form or witchcraft, including the masons, they do keep family records, so you need to deal with that. On our website, there is an article on breaking demonic curses. Take a look at that and get those mason’s set free. Remember every attack by anyone on any Christian is a request from God to get both the perpetrator and the victim set free.

The power of the Gospel is that we are required to:

Matt 5:44“But I say unto you, Agape/love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”

So I want to know who is attempting to curse me for my job is now clear.

I have the blessing of Abraham, and that includes:

Gen 12:2“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

So, just like everything else in God, you have to apply His word in faith to your situation for His Word to have power for you. The blessing of Abraham is even greater, God says He will do this (i.e., they will reap evil from their sowing evil on one of His) without you doing anything. If you believe God you will be having mercy on those who are the sure recipients of their evil sowing until they confess their sins and get set free.

So it is more correct to say that the generational curses are sins that people accept and even call normal from generation to generation. So maybe it is better to call them “generational lies.,”  or cultural sins. Stop sinning and the bondage and death of the curse will go.

There is also a scripture that says the Lord will give you double for what Satan takes, (but I don’t seem to find it now). The life of Job is a great example of this. There is another scripture that says the devil must pay seven times what he steals.

Prov 6:30 “Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry; 31 but if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.”

How do you know you are believing this? Simple, when you see these truths and you break out into thanksgiving, praise and joy, you know you got the message. If not, start training your soul how to react to the Word of God and start thanking, praising and rejoicing.

James 1:2 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations …”

Since obedience is better than sacrifice, start obeying and start rejoicing and the rest will come. And if it takes a while for the emotion of joy to come, know that you have been offended in your heart somewhere, so seek the Lord for who else to forgive, bless and help.

See OK, God, Now What? on a very effective way to do this in the “Ten Step Burn-It-Now Process.

Anybody know that scripture where God promises to bless double for any curse on you?

God Bless You and Yours, In the Name of Jesus!

Does God Make People Sick?

Baby with cancer.

Baby with cancer.

For the one who says, “God put this (sickness, disease, situation, etc) on me and is keeping it on me.”

God does not sit in heaven making arbitrary decisions on who to bless and who not to bless. He leaves that up to man.

On His side, God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing it is possible to have for us to manifest with Him into the earth (Eph 1).

Eph 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”

We are told in James 1 to never accuse God as the source for our problems of any kind.

James 1:13 “Let no man [or woman] say when he [or she] is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.”

But as Paul is the example, while God has given us every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, someone needs to believe God to bring them to earth. Therefore in that same letter to the Ephesians, Paul prays two powerful prayers specifically aimed at bringing those spiritual blessings to earth.

And Jesus included the same thing in the “Our Father,” when He told us to pray, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matt 6:8-15)

So how could Jesus heal all those people in the Bible where He spent so much time healing them by bringing heaven to earth for them if God put sickness on them? Jesus is the exact representation of God so we could get and keep a right picture of the love of God.

God is never the problem. God has left the manifestation of Himself into the earth in the hands of man. Jesus came to show us what it looks like when it is done right.

Luke 18 tells us to keep in prayer night and day until we get the answer. Jesus even wondered if when He returns will He find people still praying for God’s will to be done on the earth like He said in the Our Father. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

No persistent, reverent and effective prayer means God’s will is not done, even though God wants it done.

I recognize your disappointment and frustration in delayed answer. We are destroyed, and your (problems or sickness) remain, by a lack of knowledge of God’s ways properly applied, not by a lack of the will of God. (Hosea 4:6)

I may want to build a jet airplane, but if I do not organize the creation of God properly, then whatever I do will not fly. Prayer battles are the same. It is not just passion but passion in truth and grace that makes the difference. Sincerity without truth does not produce anything of God on the earth.

“Anything between you and a promise of God is a devil either resisting you, or in lies of the devil we believe.” The only hindrance on the part of God is people believing God is hindering anything of His will. Our battle is not against people or God, but the devil and his lies.

Overcome the resisting devil with aiteo commands, lies with God’s Word of Truth, imputed Righteousness and Grace, and stay in thanksgiving, praise and joy until you know you have the answer (Phil 4:4-9).

God’s bold declaration on healing of any kind is in Isaiah 53 and the resurrection of Jesus unto His glorification of being seated at the right hand of the Father.

In Isaiah 53 we are told Jesus became our sin, sickness, defeat, pains, sorrows and failure, bore them fully, and satisfied and paid to completion the price for them, and was fully healed of them to the level of God. Jesus got that job done. When Jesus went to hell, He took us with Him. He did not need to go for Himself; He did it for us, to the level of the satisfaction of Father God.

When God raised Jesus from the dead that could only happen as Jesus was healed of every sin and the curse of the sin, which includes everything and anything that is not like heaven on earth, including your (problems or sickness) (Rom 4:25).

When God raised Jesus from the dead, every sin and curse of sin for all mankind – past, present and future – was healed by those stripes at the whipping post for the physical aspects, and in that resurrection for the soul and spiritual aspects.

God tells us in Rom 4:25 that Jesus could not have been raised from the dead until both He and you and all mankind were justified by God in Jesus. If that job had not been done, Jesus could not have been raised as He became all that sinful man was and is, and thus would have to still be in Hell if Father God had not seen that Jesus made the full, total and complete payment for all mankind.

Jesus got His job done and that included your and my healing of everything that is not just like Jesus forever. Thus there is no legal ground since that day 2000 years ago for the devil to inflict the law of sin and death on anyone ever.

The devil enforcing the law of sin and death does not make it legal.

Our job is to destroy the works of the devil, including your (problems or sickness). We do not deny that problem exists; we deny its right to remain in the name of Jesus. We are destroyed by a lack of how to properly apply this knowledge, not by the will of God in delay.

Peter explained this when he and John healed a man crippled from birth at the Gate Beautiful.

Acts 3:11 “And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering. 12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? 13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. 14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; 5 and killed the Prince of zoe/life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. 16 And his name (Jesus’) through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

Notice in verse 12 Peter says is was not by his own power or holiness that the man was healed. And in verse 16 Peter states that it was the name of Jesus and faith in that name that did the miracle. This has never changed.

So how do you build this kind of effective faith in yourself or others right now?

Now you know why we wrote the Power Trilogy, so we could be more effectively about our Father’s business as Jesus was and still is.

I know a woman who had the top half of her body burned in fire. Even her fingernails melted. All of her skin, including her face and hair, was horribly disfigured. It took a while and she never stopped doing those faith actions of Phil 4:4-9. Then one day the dead skin fell off and now she looks as young as her daughters. Often her husband is asked which daughter is that when they see her. Through the pain and suffering, and torment she held onto the truth that by Jesus’ stripes she was healed.

Faint not. And do not join the devil by agreeing this is God holding the blessing back.

Jesus showed what a right thinking human could do concerning healing and blessing of God. If you are not seeing the results Jesus got, then work to think more like Jesus. The answer is in knowing Jesus to effective renewing of the mind, and not in finding fault with God.

Keep Working the Word so God can Work!

God Bless You and Yours in the Name of Jesus to be more Noble in Him (Acts 17:11-12)

Jesus is Lord of Heaven and Earth!
